He Gave My Heart to My Sister novel Chapter 7

Chapter 7

Her name hit him like a bolt of lightning.

Jettson’s face went dark right away, and he shouted uncontrollably, No way! It can’t be happening!

He thought, There are tons of people with the same name out there. This has to be just a coincidence!

Jettson rushed home like he was on fire. He knocked softly on the utility room door, his voice softening. Madilynn, I know you’re still mad at me for leaving you in that tunnel a few days ago.

Missy needed help urgently back then. I didn’t have any other choice. You get that, right?

I promise I’ll never leave you behind again. Can you forgive me?

You used to bug me about doing 100 things together. Once your heart transplant goes well, I’ll stick by your side. We’ll check off each thing as we go along, deal?

Jettson kept talking and talking, but there was no answer from behind the door.

Still, Madilynn had always cared about him deeply.

In the past, all he had to do was lower his head a bit and give her even the slightest chance to back down, and she would instantly soften up and forgive him.

But now, he couldn’t hold it in anymore. He kicked the door open with one foot.

But the room was emptyonly her phone was left behind.

Panicking, he called his assistant. Go and check where my wife has been for the last few days!

The assistant gave a careless chuckle. Mr. Ackrigg, haven’t you been at the hospital with her this

whole time?

It hit him only after that reminder how long he’d ignored Madilynn.

To everyone else, it seemed like Madilynn didn’t matter at all.

Jettson shouted in frustration, I’m talking about Madilynn!

He hung up and was just about to drive over to the Baughen’s residence to look for her.

Then suddenly, the door swung open.

He turned around hopefully. Madilynn? You’re back?

When he saw who had shown up, the light in his eyes just went out right away.

Maria walked in with some herbal supplements, looking a bit puzzled. What’s going on with Madilynn?

What do you mean? Isn’t Madilynn at home? Why is she throwing such a tantrum and staying out all night?

She handed the gift basket to Lillian. I brought some highquality herbal supplements to make chicken soup. Missy really needs it after her surgery.

But then, out of nowhere, there was this loud crash from the kitchen.

Lillian’s hand shook, and before she knew it, hot chicken soup spilled all over the floor.

Suddenly, a memory hit her. That night, Madilynn got punished and wasn’t allowed to eat. She remembered seeing Madilynn curled up in the corner of the kitchen.

The poor girl was coughing so hard it looked like she might break apart, and bright red blood splattered into that cold sink.

Ever since Madilynn left, Lillian couldn’t shake off those nightmares every single night.

In her dreams, that skinny figure always showed up covered in blood, screaming at her, Whywhy do you treat me like this too

Maria stepped forward and snapped, Lillian, what’s wrong with you? You’re so clumsy!

Do you have any idea how pricey these herbal supplements are? It’s something you couldn’t buy even if you saved your salary for ten years! Be more careful. If Missy can’t get the chicken soup, I’ll cut your pay!
