I Made $900 Trillion In 24 Hours novel Chapter 23

“Emma, can I have a word?” Barry called out to Emma.

Emma left Snow and approached Barry. “Do you have any questions, sir?”

Barry spoke to her in a low whisper. “I want the best, high-quality trousseau money can buy for my sister. I'll leave it up to you to choose what you believe is good for Snow.”

Emma stared at Barry as if he were making a joke. “That won't be a problem. I just have one question. Could you afford them? Money talks around here. I would lose my job if you buy nothing at the end of the day.”

Barry lifted his lips in a small smile. “Let me worry about the money. Just provide my sister what I ask for. I won't be happy with you if you chose poor trousseau for Snow.”

Emma licked her dry lips. She was doubtful that Barry could afford even a pen, which was worth $100,000 each.

However, despite her doubt, she decided to gamble her luck.

If Barry could afford it, she would not just earn her first commission but also save face from embarrassment.

“Alright, I'll do it,” she said. “I pray I won't regret this.”

Barry smirked. “Despite how I'm dressed, I'm not entirely a pauper. I still make a decent living.”

As Emma turned to return to Snow, Barry grabbed her shoulder and leaned over to her ears.

“One more thing,” Barry whispers. “Make sure Snow doesn't know about the price tags. If she knew how much those kit lists costs she would freak out. Once you're done shopping, let me have the bills.”

“Very well,” Emma walked said to Barry then walked up to Snow.

The shopping begun.

After two hours of moving from one department to another, it was finally time to pay the bills.

“Snow, go wait for me in the lobby,” Barry told Snow. “I'll be right with you.”

Snow stared worriedly at her brother. “Barry, those items looked very expensive. Are you sure we can afford them?”

Barry could understand Snow fears. Emma had gone all out to round up the most extravagant boarding essentials in the department store.

Snow wasn't used to this kind of luxury.

“Don't worry about it,” Barry smiled at her. “I'll handle this. Run along now.”

Snow hesitated, then walked out.

After she was gone, Barry turned to Emma. “Alright, let's have it.”

Samuel chuckled as he leaned closer towards her. “How optimistic of you. But your client is a security guard. Permit me to show you what a true client looks like.”

Samuel gestured to the fat man, his wife, and teenage sons. “This fine family just purchased boarding kits worth over $5 million. That's right. $5 million a single visit. Now, here is a father who is willing to spare no expense for his son's education.”

Samuel's praises inflated the fat man's ego. He beamed with pride, puffing out his chest.

Samuel turned back to Emma and Barry. “Now that's what you call a client. It's just so unfortunate you ended up picking a useless client, Emma.”

Emma clasped her hands behind her back, but she didn't say anything.

Samuel then faced Barry. “Mr. Security guard, I'll just get this out of my chest. You obviously don't belong here. Are you sure the girl you're with is enrolled in Elite High School? There's no way you can afford it's tuition f*e talk less of a single item here.”

Barry narrowed his eyes. “It's no skin off your nose, punk. Get lost. You're loud and annoying. Nobody cares about your commission fees.”

Samuel's smile slipped like a fish. Out of nowhere, a vicious wave of anger consumed him.

Without warning, he swung his right hand and slapped Barry across the face.

WHACK!!!

"How dare a security man like you to talk to me that way?" Samuel barked.
