I Made $900 Trillion In 24 Hours novel Chapter 28

Ten minutes ago, Principal Shepherd Joyce met with the vice principal and chairman of the school board in her office.

They were discussing about one person, King.

“Who is this man?” The board chairman, Mr. A. Adams, demanded. “Isn't there any information you can get out of him?”

Principal Shepherd Joyce rubbed her temple. “I'm afraid there's nothing. What we know is that he's enrolling this girl, Snow, into our establishment.”

Mr. A. Adams picked up the file on Snow and went through her profile details.

“It says here that she recently upgraded her rank from E-Rank to B-Rank. It costs $10 million for an upgrade. Why would King give an upgrade to an E-Rank?”

Principal Shepherd Joyce raised her shoulder. “Does it matter? Whatever his reasons are, it's none of our concern.”

Mr. A. Adams frowned. “It is our business, Joyce. We are a school for elites. I don't want a nobody enrolling in our school. It sets a bad tone for us.”

The vice principal chimed in. “I read on the morning papers that King bought Raven enterprises over. Whoever this man is, one thing is for sure, he's very wealthy.”

“So?” Mr. A. Adams snapped. “All our students came from parents far wealthier than King.”

Principal Shepherd Joyce sighed. “There's nothing we can do about it, chairman. King has already paid Snow's tuition fees in full, along with the trousseau required for her enrollment.”

Mr. A. Adams stood to his feet and tore Snow's file into shreds.

The vice principal stiffened in shock. “What are you doing, chairman?”

“Elite High School is exclusively built for the Elites,” Mr. A. Adams said sharply. “I will never allow a pauper to enrol here. I don't care whether this girl is on a scholarship or not. I don't care whether she upgraded her rank or not. She's out.”

Principal Shepherd Joyce didn't like this. “What do you want us to do about, King? He's not going to be happy about this decision of yours.”

“I've met men far wealthier and dangerous than him,” Mr. A. Adams scoffed. “I couldn't care less what he thinks. Refund his money back. We're not accepting Snow and that's final.”

Before Principal Shepherd Joyce could respond, a text message appeared on her phone. She glanced at the text and saw it was from King.

“Speak of the devil,” she said, picking up her phone. “King wants me out in the school's court. Snow is here.”

Mr. A. Adams raised an eyebrow. “Really? Well, in that case, let's go together. I want to see this Snow for myself so that I can crush her dreams of schooling here.”

Back to the present...

“What is going on here?” Principal Shepherd Joyce demanded as she stood before Barry.

Barry turned to face her, the red mark visible on his right cheek.

“Principal Shepherd, today's my sister's first day in Elite High School. I was on my way to your office when Betty Raven over here assaulted me.”

Principal Shepherd Joyce noted the red marking on his face to know Barry wasn't making this up.

She glanced at Betty. “Is this true, Betty Raven?”

“That's a bloody lie, principal Shepherd,” Betty said sharply. “He was making threats to destroy my family. I only tried to put him in his place. Besides, he's a servant. He has no business being here.”
