I Refuse to Be Your Second Choice novel Chapter 247

Natalie’s clothes were torn to shreds, leaving her in just a thin camisole. Her energy was slipping away, but stubborn survival instincts kept her fighting. She twisted in the grip of her attackers, desperate to break free.

Her eyes were bloodshot, tears and sweat mixing and soaking the hair at her temples.

“Benjamin White, you psycho! Let me go! Let me go!” Natalie’s scream was raw, packed with panic and rage.

Benjamin sat in his wheelchair, watching her struggle. The more she fought, the more twisted his smile became. He leaned forward, practically vibrating with sick excitement.

“Go ahead, scream all you want. The more you suffer, the happier I get.”

One man pinned her arms, the other held her legs. Natalie felt her strength giving out. If she was going down today, she wasn’t going alone. She’d take Benjamin White with her, even if it meant dying together.

Suddenly, there were two deafening bangs.

The iron door burst open and blinding daylight poured inside.

Natalie squinted, her vision swimming as she tried to adjust. A familiar figure stood in the glare—Alexander Ramirez.

Her eyes widened in shock. He was supposed to be in Emberfall, working on a merger. She tried to call his name, but the words caught in her throat.

Alexander radiated cold fury, his eyes burning with pure rage. On the flight, he’d told Bruce Ward to mobilize every resource in Cabinda, pulling strings on both sides of the law to find her. The moment he landed, he got the call. Natalie had been found in a shipping container by the sea. Alexander rushed straight there with two bodyguards.

He kicked the door open and saw Natalie, clothes in tatters, pinned to the floor. His gaze went wild, his eyes flashing with the kind of anger that could tear someone apart.

“Please, please… I’m sorry… I won’t do it again…”

But Alexander couldn’t hear him. He was lost to rage, the image of Natalie being hurt burning in his mind.

“Mr. Ramirez, stop! You’re going to kill him!” Aaron Lee burst in and grabbed Alexander, finally forcing him to stop.

Alexander froze, chest heaving, before letting Benjamin drop to the floor. Benjamin twitched, then looked up with a crazed, bloody grin.

“Do it. Kill me. Why don’t you just kill me…”
