“Go ahead, have a seat.” Natalie gestured to the chair across from her. Once Mike sat down, she said, “You’re here just in time. Remember the last time I mentioned I was having someone investigate the knockoff company?”
Mike nodded. “Yeah, you said there were some leads.”
“I just got an update. The trail’s gone cold. Nothing turned up.” Natalie’s disappointment was obvious.
Mike raised his eyebrows. “Nothing at all?”
She nodded.
“That’s not great,” Mike said, worry creeping into his voice. “Any other ideas?”
Natalie was quiet for a moment, her face serious. “There’s only one option left.”
“What is it?” Mike leaned forward, clearly invested.
Natalie caught his urgency and looked at him curiously. He just grinned. “I’m a little eager. Once this is sorted, I can get back to London sooner.”
Natalie smiled, understanding, then explained, “Not every camera in the warehouse was busted. One was installed right before everything went down. It covers the exact spot where the enameled vase was kept. If someone switched it out, it should be on the footage.”
“So you already have the video?”
“Not yet.” Natalie shook her head. “That camera has a minor glitch and still needs fixing, but it shouldn’t be a big deal.”
Mike leaned back in his chair, exhaling slowly. “Well, that’s something. I’m happy for you, Nora. You’re so close to the truth.”
Natalie gave a tired smile. “I’ll celebrate when the footage is actually in my hands. If this falls through, I’m really out of options.”

At the top of the Ramirez Group building, Alexander Ramirez sat at his desk, combing through the latest financial reports for all the company’s divisions.
“Alex.” Camila White’s voice floated in from the doorway.
Alexander accepted the pills and water, giving her a resigned smile. “Alright, you win.”
He tossed back the pills and took a few sips of water.
Camila finally looked satisfied, her smile growing. “That’s better. Now eat before your food gets cold.”
“Let me just wrap up this last thing. I’ll be right there.”
He went back to his desk and quickly signed the top document.
Camila turned away, setting out the silverware.
A moment later, Alexander returned, and they started eating together.
Halfway through the meal, Camila put down her fork. She glanced at him, hope flickering in her eyes. “Alex, can we get married soon?”
