Irresistible Boss Succumbing to Your Touch (Maria Anita) novel Chapter 523

Cam’s POV

After breakfast, we left Manu and Flavian's sister at the office. Manu was extremely worried and wouldn't calm down. Fear was visible in her eyes, and I understood her - throughout her life, my sister had been punished enough by that woman who called herself her mother.

"Flavian, I'm really worried about my sister. She's scared," I told Flavian on our way to the hotel where we would meet his father.

"Yeah." Flavian took a deep breath. "I'll be honest with you; I want to kill that woman. Manu told me she used to whip her. Man, that's horrible in so many ways." Flavian's eyes were blazing. I remembered my own reaction when I found out.

"The only reason I didn't do anything to her was because Manu begged me not to, since she is her mother. HA... mother, yeah right! I'm certain, Flavian, this DNA test will come back negative." I was quite anxious about the results we would get in the afternoon.

"I hope so! If that's the case, I'll destroy that woman if she comes near Manu again."

"Flavian, after all this time, if she switched the babies, can she be arrested for that?" Olivia, who was sitting in the back seat, asked.

"She can if we can prove it was kidnapping. But the case is murky, Olivia. The officer investigating this for me is pretty convinced something's wrong with this whole story. We'll meet him after talking to my father," Flavian replied.

"Today's going to be a busy day. Thanks for helping me with this." I expressed my gratitude, and Flavian turned to me.

"Cam, I'd move mountains for my little one." His eyes softened when speaking about my sister, and I was grateful she had found a good man who would take care of her and was willing to do anything to protect her.

We arrived at the hotel and found Flavian's father in an elegant suite with an adjoining, well-decorated living room. The setting was luxurious, well-lit, with a set of white fabric sofas, a sand-colored carpet, two armchairs in the same fabric as the sofa, and a huge center table made of fine wood. Various decorative objects in white, beige, and brown tones completed the space, alongside a panoramic view of the city. The environment was as opulent as the man who presented himself wearing a fine custom-made charcoal suit.

"Son, good morning! Thank you for making it possible for me to meet Mr. Blanco." The man warmly embraced Flavian.

"Father, I'm just accompanying Cam. It was Manu who made this meeting possible," Flavian said in a very serious tone.

"Ah, and how is my daughter-in-law? Why didn't she come with you?" The man seemed extremely friendly, but Flavian had already warned me that he was sly as a fox.

Flavian made the introductions and responded curtly. His father greeted me effusively and addressed Olivia like a lord, taking her hand and kissing it with a bow.

"Mrs. Blanco, funny, but your face seems familiar to me," Flavian's father looked at her with interest.

"Perhaps you remember some of my work," Olivia responded with that dazzling smile that could bring anyone to their knees.

"My wife was a model, traveled the world, and appeared in campaigns for famous brands until she retired five years ago," I explained.

"Of course, Olivia Ferrante!" The man looked at her with admiration.

"Now, Olivia Blanco," she smiled at him again.

"Cam, you are truly a fortunate man." He looked at me with renewed interest, and I thanked him.

For the next two hours, we talked about business, and it was genuinely interesting. I had to acknowledge that Cesar Moreno was an extraordinary businessman with an interesting perspective on business. He was charming, intelligent, and articulate. By the end of the meeting, I was interested in a partnership proposal he suggested. I wasn't interested in having him as a partner or meddling in my family's company, but I was intrigued by the possibility of some joint ventures that, if successful, would further boost our company.

"Look, Cesar, it's very interesting indeed. What do you think about developing this idea further? You and your son are very welcome to visit our company and our farms," I invited him so he could see with his own eyes that the deal would be good for him too.
