Rita was right, getting rid of Orlando's first wife and daughter devastated his parents. The old folks adored their daughter-in-law, treated her like their own daughter, and they were crying in every corner over the death of the woman and the baby, they were in mourning. It was the best revenge against that old man - he took away my job, and I took away his daughter-in-law and granddaughter. That felt so good. I enjoy watching them both crying around. She never bothered to keep those jewels in a safe, just left them there in those little boxes inside the drawer. When I saw she was dead, that was the first thing I did, took several pieces, just didn't take them all so no one would notice quickly. Even Rita didn't know about this, because she had already asked me if I knew about the jewelry, since Orlando noticed some were missing, but I said I didn't know anything, that maybe that midwife had gone through the room and found the jewelry and taken it. But the jewelry was safely stored with me and would stay that way until I could sell it. I took everything and put it in my storage unit.

I bought that storage unit to keep documents about things I did at the company and the account I had opened to deposit the money I took from there, so if the old man sent the police after me, they wouldn't find anything on me. And as it turned out, this storage unit was serving me very well, I had already stored the jewelry there and at the end of the week I was going to store everything I had against Rita, because I wouldn't put it past that snake to have someone break into my house to destroy anything I had against her. It was better to keep everything important stored there and she would never suspect. I even had a great hiding place for the key.

But I needed to be careful. The truth was that Rita was very clever and as evil as the devil himself. I knew she was not happy about me asking for money and I think she's stalling to avoid giving me what I asked for, but I was not stupid either and she wouldn’t get the better of me. I was meeting with her to ask about my money and I had already bought a recorder, I was going to record our conversation, I was going to make her admit she planned everything and I was going to keep that tape safe, with that, she wouldn’t refuse to give me what I wanted.
