Juniper reached for her coffee and took a sip while Phineas and Janice were talking about a contract and meeting Phineas had blown off the day before. She listened with a smile as he barked out directives and Janice took notes, asking pointed questions. Despite the way the call started with her being argumentative, Janice, the minute the business part of the call began, was incredibly professional and didn’t argue an ounce over the tasks Phineas was delegating to her. She was arranging his schedule and managing issues but wasn’t throwing a fit or kicking off at anything Phineas was throwing at her. There was no eye–rolling or huffing and puffing and certainly nothing which would make her think Janice didn’t respect her boss.

When the call ended with Janice telling him she’d call him after she got a few hours of sleep with any updates, Juniper’s coffee was almost gone. The little clock on the corner of his display screen told her it was roughly fifteen minutes before her family was supposed to descend on their home.

“I didn’t realize you were jealous of Janice,” Phineas said the minute the call ended.

“I am not.”

“No. You were though. She made a comment about being trapped in paradise with me and your mind automat ly wend to the possibility of us fucking. I would never.”

Nothing worse than a woman scorned, present company included.”

“Do you want to keep working for Maxine?” As she turned on his lap to look at him he sighed, “in hindsight, you were out of sorts the last couple of days because you were dealing with some emotional things. I never let anyone know you were resigning or you were fired. If there is a rumor going on it’s because the word got out your husband banged my wife,

Janice.

“You drank from my cup!” Phineas accused with a grunt.

“I literally kissed her mouth moments after you came down her throat not seven hours ago. I think drinking from your coffee cup is the least of our worries.” Beni snorted, “considering I’m still not convinced Adil’s tongue didn’t slip last night, I’m no longer concerned about swapping spit with you, Phineas.” He made kissy fish lips at Phineas as he winked at Juniper and ducked away from Phineas‘ punch on his way to get changed for brunch.

“Babe, I’m a billionaire many times over. I make that in interest in a month. She earns every penny, including

Adil snorted, “I’d rather purposefully lick Beni’s dick than be the PA to either of us but mostly Phineas.”

On that note he headed off in the direction of the room to get changed while Phineas pounced on Juniper for her teasing
