Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 673

Amelia didn’t need to open the envelope to know what was inside. Just by touch, she could tell it was full of photos.

A thick stack of them. Under Clive’s almost desperate stare, she pulled them out.

Photos of Ryan.

Each one hit her like a punch.

This was a side of Ryan she’d never seen before.

The backdrop was a harsh, sterile hospital room. He was strapped to a bed, eyes wild and bloodshot, glaring at the camera like a trapped animal.

Doctors and nurses circled the bed, watching him like some kind of experiment.

Another photo. He was tied to an electroshock chair, shirtless, his body covered in scars—some old, some new.

Amelia’s hand shook.

Clive must have noticed, because he smiled, just a bit, like he was proud of himself. “Before Ryan came back, he spent years getting treatment overseas. He’s dangerous, Amelia. Completely unhinged. He attacked the staff more than once. He was the most dangerous patient they had.”

Amelia’s voice was tight. “Where did you get these?”

“That doesn’t matter,” Clive said quickly. “What matters is you finally see who Ryan really is. He’s a lunatic! He’s messed up in the head. He was on all kinds of illegal meds, electroshock, injections, near-death stuff… He even fought in underground rings. Not for money, just for the rush.”

He flipped to another picture—Ryan in a boxing ring, covered in blood, eyes dark and cold, mouth twisted in a madman’s grin.

“Look at him, Amelia!” Clive pressed, eyes bright with excitement. “You see? Ryan’s not normal!”

Amelia closed her eyes, struggling to keep it together.

But the images stuck with her, vivid and raw.

That kind of pain—so unbearable, it could only be dulled by even more pain.

The Packmans had broken Ryan, put him through God knows what. Experiments. Blood draws. Transfusions. His body was practically rebuilt from scratch.
