Kicked Out I Unlocked My Ultimate Boss Mode novel Chapter 28

**Broken Doesn’t Mean End**
**By M. Kaushik**
**Chapter 28: Where is Josh?**

The sharp, icy tones of the electronic announcement sliced through the air, echoing in the spacious lobby with a clarity that made heads turn.

Just then, the sleek doors of the private elevator glided open, revealing a butler clad in an elegant tailcoat. He stepped forward with a deep bow, his demeanor exuding professionalism and respect. “Good evening, Ms. Walcott. Your friends are eagerly awaiting you in the private suite. Would you like me to escort you there?”

A thick silence enveloped the room like a heavy fog.

Derek’s gaze fixated on the black-gold card held firmly in the guard’s hand, a symbol of privilege that seemed to mock him. The way the butler bowed to Helen sent a shiver down his spine. His complexion drained of color, leaving him ghostly pale, while disbelief flickered in his widened eyes.

He could hardly catch his breath, his lips quivering as he muttered under his breath, “11—how is this even possible? She’s a Skyline Elite Member? She can step into the Celestial Hall? How can a country bumpkin like her…”

Lydia, still grappling with the shock of Helen’s revelation, felt the world around her tilt. The mask of the perfect sweet girl she had meticulously crafted shattered into pieces, her fingernails digging into her palms without her noticing, lost in a whirlwind of confusion.

Her face was a canvas of disbelief, frozen in shock as tremors coursed through her body.

She had only just begun to navigate the opulent world of the affluent herself.

To her, the Skyline Elite Zone represented a contemporary palace, an exclusive realm where only the elite, the nobility, and the chosen few dared to tread.

In her eyes, Helen was nothing more than a country bumpkin, someone who had emerged from the gritty depths of a slum. How could she possibly possess a pass to the Skyline Elite Zone? How could she gain entry to Private Room No. 1 in the Celestial Hall?

“Helen!”

Derek surged forward, a few steps propelled by a mix of anger and disbelief, his voice slicing through the tension.

Helen, with an air of nonchalance, stepped into the private elevator, guided by the butler’s attentive presence.

At the sound of her name, she lazily lifted her gaze, her eyes cool and clear, sweeping over Derek and Lydia. Their faces contorted in shock and outrage, as if they had just swallowed something bitter and repulsive.

A smirk danced on her lips, radiating an aura of mischief and confidence.

Though her expression remained inscrutable, Derek felt the weight of her disdain pressing down on him.

She looked down on him, and the audacity of it ignited a fire within him.

How dare she regard him with such contempt?

Derek’s face contorted in fury, the rage boiling beneath the surface, rendering him utterly vicious.

With a soft hiss, the elevator doors slid shut, severing their connection to the unfolding scene, leaving Derek and Lydia stranded in the awkward silence of the crowd. They appeared like two clowns, foolish and pitiful, marooned in their own embarrassment.

“Hey, Timothy, isn’t that the beautiful girl we spotted at the hospital earlier?”

On the second floor of the Skyline Elite Zone, Bennett reclined against the intricately carved banister, his chin resting on his hand as he peered down below. “Hmm, we should express our gratitude in person for her role in saving Stella, shouldn’t we?”
