Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 47

“Of course you should,” Larissa said, her eyes sharp. “To me, no one in this world is more important than myself. He may be your brother, but if he truly respected and loved you as family, he never would have done this to you. Since he chose to harm you, to try and kill you, then he deserves to go to hell.”

“Blood relationship means nothing to me.”

“I only care about those who love me and are truly loyal to me.”

Hearing this, a flicker of envy crossed Haskell’s eyes. “No wonder you’re so decisive,” he marveled. “You didn’t even hesitate to deal with your own brother, Finley.”

Larissa nodded, her gaze firm and resolute. “He tried to destroy me first,” she said with finality. “Why should I owe him any loyalty?”

Haskell fell silent for a moment, lost in thought. After a while, a look of relief washed over his face. “I came here today hoping to find some clarity,” he said softly. “Seeing what you did, and hearing what you’ve just said, I know what I have to do now.”

“I’m glad you’ve figured it out,” Larissa said, genuinely pleased.

Haskell looked at her, his gaze filled with a newfound determination and tenderness. “Larissa, I’m so lucky to have met you.”

Larissa was taken aback. She curled her fingers and coughed lightly into her hand, trying to hide a flicker of unease. “Hey, don’t get all serious on me,” she said, trying to sound casual.

Haskell smiled. “If I’m not serious, you’ll just accuse me of acting this way with every woman.”

“Oh, so now you’re making fun of me?” Larissa realized his prim and proper act had been just that—an act.

“I guess you’re just rubbing off on me.”
