Logan was indeed skilled at manipulating, never revealing too much at once.

"I'm pursuing Liz," he said. Xander's eyes widened in shock, and for a heartbeat, he seemed to forget how to breathe.

It took him a few seconds to process the information, and then everything clicked into place.

Lisa had asked him to pretend to be her boyfriend, and out of respect for her privacy, he hadn't asked for a reason. Later, when he asked Brandon, he was told to just go along with it and not pry too much.

So it was because Logan was pursuing her.

"My situation with her is complicated, and this process won't be smooth sailing. So, her idea of having you pretend to be her boyfriend isn't a bad one." Logan explained, and Xander understood completely.

From now on, he would be the perfect cover. He would keep up the charade with Martha, so Logan and Lisa can sneak around and keep their relationship a secret.

That was indeed Logan's plan. He wanted Lisa to accept him first and spend time together before making their relationship public. This way, no matter what challenges lay ahead, at least she would stay by his side and not run away like she did this time.

"Well..." Xander took a sip of coffee, appearing hesitant.

"Please, Mr. Roulder, feel free to share any requests or concerns you may have." Logan looked at him.

Xander smirked slightly. "I don't have any issues with this, but does Lisa agree?"

"That's why I need your help, Mr. Roulder." He was asking for a favor, yet he did so with no hint of humility.

Xander felt so pressured that he could barely breathe. "Mr. Cohen, how can I assist you? What else do you have in mind? Please, let's hear it all."

Their conversation kept circling back to Lisa, making her ears burn even though she was miles away, completely oblivious.

When I visited Lisa for my prenatal checkup, she was sitting there in a daze. She saw me and asked, "What brings you here?"

I teased her. "Dr. Carline, you're the one who called me in."
