Hazel’s POV:
Vincent looked at me, raising an eyebrow slightly, as if greeting me in some special way.
1 silently rolled my eyes–could this man please stop talking to me in such weird ways?
“What does Hazel herself think?” he suddenly said, deliberately emphasizing “herself,” with that half–smiling expression that looked like he was intentionally trying to provoke me.
Me: “…”
I couldn’t be bothered to respond to him, but Joseph beside me narrowed his eyes, apparently also sensing Vincent’s provocative undertone.
Given the relationship between Blood Moon Pack and the Wentworth family, Vincent could indeed be considered one of “my people,” which explained his confident attitude.
But just as the atmosphere was getting delicate, Caroline suddenly exploded.
“She’s not Blood Moon Pack’s princess at all!”
Her shout immediately drew everyone’s attention.
I slowly turned to look at her. She was trembling with anger, her face twisted with rage, forcing herself to walk to the front and stare directly at me while questioning Karina.
“Lady Karina, she’s not your daughter at all, and… and you don’t know that she’s been to…”
She suddenly stopped mid–sentence, probably realizing she’d said too much.
She immediately changed course: “How could she possibly be your daughter! She must have deceived you. I used to be her classmate–she has poor character, we all knew that!”
Mary also spoke up: “Lady Karina, how could she be your daughter? Haven’t you made a mistake…”
Gerald immediately jumped out too, as if eager to kick me while I was down: “Lady Karina, Hazel definitely has problems. We know her. You must have made a mistake.”
Ha.
I looked coldly at the Silver Moon Pack group, slowly curving my lips into a mocking arc.
“Miss Caroline, if you can be Silver Moon Pack’s princess, why can’t I be Blood Moon Pack’s daughter?”
My tone was casual, but every word carried a sting.
Karina was obviously also enraged: “Whether Hazel is my daughter or not, don’t I know? Even if she’s adopted, she’s still my own daughter. You Silver Moon Pack people keep slandering my daughter here–I think you’re the ones with character

problems! What are your intentions?!”
Her angry rebuke caused an uproar in the entire venue.
“Blood Moon Pack doesn’t welcome such guests!”
Mary’s face alternated between pale and flushed. She glanced at Caden secretly, only to be glared back at fiercely, as if warning her not to speak carelessly again.
Just as the atmosphere grew increasingly tense, Dominic tried to smooth things over: “Sorry, Lady Karina, they might have
mistaken someone.”
Caroline’s face was full of unwillingness, but she also knew that saying one more word now would be truly courting death.
My gaze slowly swept across the faces of the Silver Moon Pack members.
Then I raised the wine glass in my hand.
Without hesitation, I directly splashed the wine in the glass onto Caroline’s face.
The bright red liquid splashed onto her delicate makeup, instantly making her look disheveled. Her makeup was ruined in a large patch, her hair was soaked with wine, and she looked like a drowned chicken that had fallen from somewhere.
The entire venue gasped.
No one expected me to do this in public, especially to Silver Moon Pack’s “precious princess.”
All the Silver Moon Pack people’s faces changed.
Caroline screamed, covering her face as if she’d suffered the ultimate humiliation.
Joseph watched from the side, and behind his glasses, his eyes finally showed a trace of real emotion. He seemed not to have expected me to strike back so decisively.
But Vincent-
He seemed to have anticipated it, standing to the side with a smile on his lips, his expression full of indulgence.
