Chapter 114: I Want You
Deanna’s Perspective:
The elevator doors slid open, revealing the dim expanse of the parking garage. A sharp gust of chilly air swept past me, causing a shiver to ripple down my spine. I pulled my coat tighter around myself, the cold seeping in despite the fabric.
Directly across the vacant space ahead, a sleek black limousine sat parked, its glossy surface reflecting the harsh fluorescent lights overhead. It was impossible to miss—bold and commanding in the otherwise empty lot.
By the vehicle’s door stood a man in a crisp uniform, silent and respectful, holding the door open for me. That struck me as odd. Luis had never been the type to arrive with a driver, especially not like some other Alphas who relied on chauffeurs.
He always preferred the thrill of gripping the wheel himself, speeding down the highway with reckless abandon.
A flicker of doubt crossed my mind as I hesitated. Earlier today, I had blurted out words in frustration—words I hadn’t meant to say. Yet, despite the tension, I had agreed to his request to mate with him.
My heart tightened with a mixture of anxiety and anticipation.
Wait—did he actually want to do this in the car?
The driver’s unblinking gaze didn’t ease my nerves.
Biting my lip, I took a deep breath and slid into the backseat. The door clicked softly behind me, shutting out the outside world.
Luis was already there, stretched out across the plush leather seat, his eyes closed as if he were dozing. The top three buttons of his shirt hung undone, revealing the sharp contour of his collarbone. Beneath his pale skin, I could just make out the faint pulse of a vein tracing a slow rhythm.
The soft lighting brushed over his face, casting shadows from his long lashes onto his cheeks.
For someone so dangerous, he carried an effortless charm that was impossible to ignore.
I caught myself staring at him for a moment longer than I intended.
I had to admit—Luis was precisely the kind of man I was drawn to.
“Like what you see?” His voice broke the silence suddenly, low and husky, roughened by sleep.
My eyes met his before I could look away, and my heart skipped a beat.
Flustered, I jerked my head to the side, embarrassed—like a student caught napping in class.
Of course, he was an Alpha—sharp enough to notice even the smallest reactions, even with his eyes closed.
I pressed my lips together and fixed my gaze straight ahead, trying to steady my racing thoughts.
Without warning, his fingers gently pinched my earlobe, sending a surprising current of tingles through me.
“Did you call me here for something?” His eyes opened, locking onto mine as his hand slid from my ear down to trace my jawline.
“Mate with me,” he said simply.
My cheeks flushed instantly with heat.
This shameless man! In a parking garage, no less—a public space—and here he was, daring to say such things.
I clenched my knees together, my voice trembling slightly as I tried to protest.
“People come and go here. I—I don’t think this is a good idea.”
