**Chapter 199: Reunite**
**Deanna’s POV:**
Today was the day. I had received a word from Aaron that Luis’s plane would be touching down, and a flutter of anticipation coursed through me.
Without a moment’s hesitation, I hopped into my car, the engine humming to life as I made my way to the airport. The private jet terminal was conveniently situated right next to the main one, a sleek building that promised luxury and exclusivity.
Arriving ahead of schedule, I found myself in a hallway that offered a panoramic view of the tarmac. The excitement bubbled within me as I thought about the surprise I had planned for Luis. I hadn’t mentioned my visit to him; I wanted this moment to be spontaneous, a delightful shock that would brighten his day.
The clock was ticking, and with only a week left before our three-month agreement came to an end, I was determined to make every moment count. I didn’t want to look back with any regrets. All I craved was to savor this fleeting time together, to hold onto it as tightly as I could.
The low, resonant hum of jet engines filled the air, and my heart raced as I spotted a sleek A780 private jet gracefully descending onto the runway. My breath caught in my throat as the cabin door swung open, revealing Luis as he descended the stairs.
He was the first to step out, exuding confidence and charisma. Behind him trailed a few assistants, each impeccably dressed in tailored suits, their Mooncrown Pack silver badges glinting in the sunlight as they maneuvered the luggage.
Even from a distance, I could catch that familiar cedar scent that enveloped him, a fragrance that felt like home. I instinctively raised my hand and waved, a smile stretching across my face.
Luis’s gaze found me almost immediately. His casual stride picked up, and in mere moments, he was standing right in front of me, his presence overwhelming.
He looked down at me, his eyes sparkling with warmth and amusement. “You’re smiling so sweetly. Were you trying to seduce me the moment I landed?”
My cheeks flushed under his teasing gaze. “When have I ever tried to seduce you?” I countered, my heart racing.
Just seconds ago, we had been standing quite a distance apart, and he had been obscured by those oversized sunglasses. How on earth had he noticed my smile?
Luis smirked, a playful glint in his eyes. “I could see you perfectly fine from there,” he replied, his tone light yet filled with a deeper meaning.
Before I could formulate a response, he took my hand and pressed it against his chest. The steady, powerful thump of his heartbeat resonated against my palm, warm and alive.
A rush of heat spread through me where we touched. It had been almost a week since we had last seen each other, and that simple, familiar warmth sent a dizzying wave of emotion crashing over me.
Just then, Aaron and a few other assistants approached us, breaking the moment.
