Chapter 57 Jealousy
Chapter 57 Jealousy
Terence’s POV:
Jake’s fist was about to swing, and my heart nearly jumped out of my chest.
Trushed forward and wrapped my arms around his waist, holding him back with all I had.
If that punch landed on Luis, the whole werewolf world would blow up tomorrow.

People would say the Alpha of the Olsendreich Pack couldn’t take a loss, that he picked a fight with the Mooncrown Pack in public.
The company’s stock would crash, and the pack’s reputation would be ruined.
And Luis? He wasn’t just anyone. He was a pure–blood Alpha, strong as steel.
Jake was drunk. Even at his best, he wouldn’t stand much chance against Luis.
I tightened my grip on Jake, forcing a smile as I spoke quickly. “Mr. Eaton, he’s drunk. Please don’t take it to heart. I’ll get him out of here. I’ll take him right now.”
Jake thrashed in my arms. “Let go of me! Let go!”
I leaned close and barked at the drunkard in a low voice, “Axel’s got the car waiting out front. You’re drunk. I’m taking you out
now.”
With every ounce of strength I had, I dragged the unwilling Jake away. By the time we made it down the hall, my shirt was already soaked in cold sweat.
Luis’s POV:
Terence dragged Jake away, and at last silence was restored in the hallway.
I stood there, loosened my tie, and looked down at the floor.
A bitter smile crept onto my face.
No matter how much stronger I was than Jake in business or power, I still envied him.
I envied that Deanna loved him. I envied that she chose to be with him.
The jealousy burned so deep, it drove me mad.
Deanna’s POV:
On my way to work, Philip kept blowing up my phone. It rang nonstop, like a bomber circling overhead.
I asked what was so urgent, but he never explained.
The rage building up in my chest. The second I got to the office, I marched straight to his office.
I knocked twice, then pushed the door open without waiting for an answer.

The office was filled with smoke. Philip was leaning back in a leather chair, cigarette in hand.
The project director stood beside him, talking through some report.
The smoke made my eyes sting. I frowned.

Philip saw me walk in and waved the director away. The man set the file on the desk, bowed out quickly, and closed the door behind him.
I stepped up to the desk, direct as always. “Dad, what do you need me for?”
He blew out smoke, gave a short laugh, and said, “What do I need you for?
“Mooncrown’s investment was supposed to be 80 billion. Only half came in. You knew that, right?”
I remembered Kylie had given me a receipt a few days ago. I signed off and never thought about it again.
“Yeah, I know. What’s the problem?”
Philip’s brow tightened. “The problem is, the rest of the money should’ve landed this week, but finance hasn’t seen a dime. Did you do something to upset Mr. Eaton? Maybe he’s not willing to send the rest to us?”
