Chapter 129: _Turning Me On

He led them back to the secluded corner where he had feasted on the first unfortunate wolf. The sight of the dead body drew a gasp from the injured girl. "Oh no... he must have had a rough struggle with whoever killed him," she whispered, her voice trembling.

Fergus’ face remained innocent, but his mind buzzed with demented delight. He relished playing this game. "Don’t worry," he said, his voice soothing. "It was a quick kill, he didn’t suffer."

The girl’s gaze turned to him as she she clung to her heavily injured sister despite her own wounds. "H– How do you know that?" she managed to ask.

"Because," Fergus said, his voice dropping to a low hiss, "I killed him."

A second of silence followed. Then, to his surprise, the girl let out a shaky laugh. "You? Kill someone?" she scoffed, clearly thinking he was joking. "You’re just a little boy!"

Oh, that’s right. Laugh all you want, food; Fergus thought to himself.

Fergus’ laugh erupted alongside hers, but he was not an amused one like hers. At least, not amused in the way hers was. He was laughing because his food was underestimating him and laughing at him.

He really liked that too– when they underestimated him. The look that always resided in the depths of their eyes when they realized shit had gotten real was always epic. Nothing could beat that particular moment when they realized that they had been laughing with their doom. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

So, he laughed. It was a chilling, maniacal sound that would have sent goosebumps erupting on the girl’s body if she had noticed a little more. The echo of it bounced off the surrounding buildings, shortly drowning out the noises of the battle.

Suddenly, Fergus’ face turned serious, his smile vanishing. He grabbed the girl’s shoulders, his grip far stronger than his small frame suggested. "Look," he growled, his voice tight with a barely contained hunger, "your friend... she’s losing too much blood. I can’t stand here and watch good food go to a waste like this."

"What do you mean good food?" The girl frowned and knelt beside her sister, placing her hand on the stab wound. "Just hold on a little more, Clea. You’ll heal but maybe if this battle ends soon, we can get the fey to help steady you."

Fergus whistled, causing the girl to turn to him again. This time, her sister whom Fergus now knew her name was Clea was already barely hanging on to consciousness while the girl herself already had tired lids.

Fergus looked forward to having the life run back to those eyes when he took their life.

"While waiting, how about you and I play a little game?" He said.

Holding her injured elbow, "I’m in no mood for games," the girl finished. "We need to get Clea help. Don’t forget she’s like this because she tried to help you. We are both like this because we tried to help you."

Yeah, and that’d be the cause of the end of you both; Fergus thought inwardly. He couldn’t control his hunger any longer. He needed to fuck this conscious one and then eat them both later.

He just wanted to have fun. He only wanted to play.

A sinister grin stretched across his face, revealing pointed fangs glinting against the darkness of the night. The innocence in his eyes vanished like it was never there just a few moments ago.

"Help?" he sarcastically scoffed. "There’s nowhere to run, little morsel. This is where your journey ends."
