Upon hearing Rhett’s revelation, Aceco creased her brows, glancing around before replying. "If you have even the slightest suspicion Gamma, then keep it on the down low. We can’t let him find out."

Rhett nodded curtly. "Agreed. I’ll be heading for the Alpha’s house tomorrow after overseeing your creation of the veil. I need to give a documented report of everything that happened in detail. Also, I... I have to see someone important."

He blinked awkwardly as he remembered Isleen yet again. He couldn’t help wondering what she was doing right now. What was happening in her life right now that was in contrast to the terror that struck the camp today?

Drach’s lips formed a thin line, his eyes unwavering as he stared at Rhett defiantly. The tension was palpable as everyone held their breath in anticipation.

Eventually, the Beta’s nephew sighed before stepping aside, his gaze toward him still bitter.

Rhett walked away, calling on some soldiers to bundle up Darius’s body and also those of the dead soldiers. After that, he addressed the enlisted soldiers, telling them that training would commence the next day in the morning before dismissing them. It had been nothing short of a bloody night.
