Chapter 32: _ Hero

"Come babe, we have things to discuss." Kylo pulled me closer and huddled me in the direction of my room when he abruptly turned as though he had just remembered something.

To Lupe. "Huh? Isn’t she..." His voice trailed off.

I understood what he meant and so did Lupe. "Yeah, Kylo. Her name’s Lupe. She came to become friends." I shrugged, gesturing for Lupe to come closer.

Kylo was obviously flabbergasted but he tried to conceal it. "Erh — Hi, Lupe. Glad to see that you have chosen to be a better person."

Ouch. Did he really have to say that? I choked on my laugh.

"Hi, Kylo. Thank you — I guess." Lupe didn’t seem to pick an offense as she sheepishly chuckled.

I tugged at Kylo’s arm. "Alright, alright, Kylo. Let’s leave this bunch to their fun."

"You mean lets go do some naughty things, don’t you?" Cullen scoffed and I shook my head.

If only there was any pillow in check. "Suck my dick, Cullen."

"Gladly!"

As we entered my room, Kylo’s cool dropped. He held both of my hands immediately.

"Are you okay? I’ve been worried ever since you called about sensing vampires." He said, worry creasing lines between his brows.

Oh, I almost forgot about that. But then, I sensed both vampires and something else...

Someone else.

I cupped his hands in return. "Yes, Kylo. I think I must have been earlier paranoid. It might just be my mind playing a trick on me. Let’s not fuss about it. I shouldn’t have bothered you."

"Nonsense, babe, nonsense! It’s not a bother at all." He moved closer and cupped my face. "I want to know everything about you, Megami. Everything that bothers you. We are one."

My guilt eat me up from the inside. I couldn’t even look Kylo in the eyes. I sulked and went to sat on the bed. Kylo came to join me.

"Do you think those vampires you sensed has anything to do with the bones found in the pack today?" He asked.

I could have said yes but I wasn’t sure what I sensed. I did sense a lot things that weren’t there. "We can not rely on my abilities, Kylo. Even I am not sure I have any ability."
