Mated To My Boyfriend's Dad novel Chapter 69

Chapter 69: _ Claimed by My Mate

"I understand your concerns, Isleen. I care for my son more than my own self. I think I have told you this many times before- I have to do this because of the love I have for my son. You two are cursed. You’ve brought the Moon Goddess’s curse upon yourselves. Don’t you understand? If I don’t claim you and allow you two to continue this folly, one of you could die. I don’t want any one of you to die." He sounded sad.

He sounded like he was so sure of himself.

I scoffed. "And what makes you so sure that we are cursed, Gamma Rhett? A book with an unverified story? Folklores? Culture? Traditions? All of those couldn’t surpass the love you have for your son, could they?"

I was looking at him now, searching him, searching for a glint of remorse but I didn’t think I could find any. It was as if he’d lived this life and seen the future.

"What you fail to understand is that the mate bond transcends societal norms and pack politics. What people would say? That we are unlucky to be fated together but it’s the right call for both of us if we get together. What Kylo would think? That he wants us to be happy. Everyone knows the Mate bond is an undeniable connection that cannot be ignored."

His words sent shivers down my spine. It was both a warning and a seductive whisper. I knew the truth in his statement. The pull I felt towards him was undeniable. It was a force beyond my rational control.

"But we can’t act on it," I countered, my voice rising in frustration. "It’s forbidden! It would bring ruin to everything we hold dear."

He leaned forward, his eyes boring into mine with an intensity that stole my breath. "Are you saying you don’t feel it too, Isleen?" he challenged. "The pull, the connection? Can you honestly deny it?"

No, I couldn’t. I was too lazy to.

I looked away, unable to meet his gaze. Shame burned in my cheeks, and the traitorous ache in my heart intensified. To deny the pull would be a lie. It would be a betrayal of the truth that resonated deep within my soul.

"I..." I stammered, searching for words and failing at it.

He touched me and I jumped. I almost stumbled on the seat but he drew me to himself. His hands were tenderly wrapped around my chest.

My head was on his lap and my face, upward, seeing him. Seeing his face, his eyes, and the desire in them.

"I want to kiss you." He mumbled out a warning.

I knew the right thing for me to do after that was to run. I should get out of the car now. We couldn’t have that talk that I had envisioned.

Hell, I and Gamma Rhett could have nothing but more aching and kissing and touching. He gave me the chance. He hesitated, waiting for me to turn away or tell him to let go but I didn’t.

I just remained there, in his arms, breathing hard with my eyes colliding endlessly with his. If only there was a way to extend this moment into a thousand more- I’d do it.

This was one of those moments where the whole world wouldn’t seem to matter except for that person. Their breaths on your face, scenting like incense on it and mixing with yours.

"Then, you leave me with no choice." He whispered before lowering his head and leaning closer.

As his lips hovered close to mine, I closed my eyes, surrendering to the inevitable. The kiss, when it came, was like a burst of fireworks, painting wonders in my mouth.

His lips were soft and warm, sending a wave of pleasure through my body. The touch of his tongue against mine was a delicious exploration, arousing a sense of need that I couldn’t ignore.

We lost ourselves in the kiss, time melting away as we explored each other’s depths. It was a desperate, hungry kiss, fueled by moments of ignoring the urge every time we met.

I ran my hands through his hair, gasping for breath and not wanting to break the kiss at the same time. His hands moved across my body, trialing every delicate spot he could find.

I moaned here and there. To hell, I moaned his name too. I pleaded too.

But for what?
