CHAPTER 36
The following morning when I got up, Asher noticed that I didn’t get a whole lot of sleep the night before but I went downstairs to get a coffee.
I packed everything into my bag and I had a shower and got dressed for school.
Asher was watching my every move that morning and I knew that he was just worried about me, but it was
driving me a little crazy.
I know that he was looking for any signs of distress but I wasn’t going to show him any because I was doing everything I could to prove that I wasn’t in distress.
Just because I didn’t get much sleep, doesn’t mean anything.
It just means that I was wracking my brain trying to figure out who could be the traitor in the pack.
I mean, they might not even be a traitor to the pack. They might just hate me.
I hadn’t really had much to do with the pack. I know who everyone is, but I never had much to do with
them. Not while I was friends with the twins.
Between my parents and the twins, I feel like I had a pretty sheltered life. And it was a little scary to me. I
wasn’t sure exactly who was my friend and who wasn’t.
I know that was my fault. I could have easily made friends in high school, but I was happy just being
friends with the twins.
As soon as I was ready Asher and I left for school, but as soon as we got to the campus I still had a little
time before class started. So we went to the dining hall and we got some breakfast.
There were a few people watching us and Asher was paying alot of attention to them.
“Relax. They’ve seen you here with me recently but before that it was Gage. And you guys compared to human guys, there a big difference. People are probably just wondering where the hell I am finding you beasts from.” I said, making him chuckle.
“I never thought of it like that.” He said.
“And they probably think I’m a slut.” I added. But he stopped chuckling and glared at me.
“I will kill any bastard who says that about you.” Asher said.
“I don’t care what humans say about me. I could care less about their opinion.” I said.
“I can’t see anyone with a camera.” He said.
“They could be using their phone. You know those camera’s are just as good.” i said.
“Yeah. I didn’t think of that. I guess that’s just something else I need to look out for.” He said.
“Just, try to relax. Don’t make it obvious. We’ve got warriors walking the grounds. No one will make them

as our warriors, here to protect us. Can we just enjoy our time here together?” i asked.
“Yeah Sorry” He said.
“It’s alright. Are you looking forward to your first creative writing class?” I asked.
“Are you actually writing a story for that class?” He asked.
“Yep.” I said.
“What’s it about?” He asked.
“You.” I said. And he raised an eyebrow.
“I definitely want to read that.” He said.
“It’s about a guy who helped the female lead realize who she is and how loved she really is. It’s drama with romance with a lot of stupid mistakes mixed in there.” I said.
“How does it end?” He asked.
“That’s still to be determined.” I said.
“Make it a happy ending. Because that’s how it’s going to end up.” He said, very sure of himself.
“I’ll try,” I said. So he leaned over and kissed me.
I noticed that got a few girls in the dining room glaring at me and a few guys glaring at Asher.
I guess they were trying to realize the extent of our relationship until he kissed me and then it was answered for them. And it wasn’t the answer they liked.
Asher noticed it as well and started smirking at me.
“I think we better get out of here before we both get shivved.” I said and he started laughing.
“Yeah. Might be a good idea.” He said.
The classes were spread out but the day didn’t seem to drag on forever. I think having Asher there with me
helped me through the day and it was a little easier on me. But it was still mentally draining going through
those classes and trying to keep up with everything.
When we came out of my last class of the day I saw Asher acting a little weird and then he stood in front
of me as we had just left the building.
With him standing in front of me, I was pushed backwards against the building.
“What’s going on?” I asked.
“It’s the warriors. They have something.” He said.
“What?” I asked.
“A wolf from a different pack.” He said.

“Okay. Anything else? There are plenty of wolves at this college.” I said
“Ones that have photos of nothing but you on their phones?” He asked, turning to look at me
I looked at him strangely before he grabbed my hand and we started walking away from the car and
behind one of the buildings.
We saw the warriors around a guy that I had seen on campus and when he saw me, he locked towards the ground. He wouldn’t look directly at me but the warrior handed Asher his phone and we both started
looking at it.
“Some of these photos go back to when you started going to this school.” Asher said
“Well, that’s got nothing to do with my parents. They always knew where I was i said.
“He isn’t working for your parents.” A warrior said.
“Then what’s with the all the photos?” Asher asked. So the warrior turned back to lock at the mu

“Who are you?” I asked.
“Really? After all this time you still don’t know who I am?” He asked. So the wamer handed me ms wale.
“Austin Young. Moonshine Pack.” I said.
“How can you not know who I am?” He asked.
“Because we’ve never spoken to each other.” I said. So Asher came and stood next to me.
“So, this is the new one? You were with another one a couple of weeks ago. And now him. What have the
got?” Austin asked.
I heard Asher growl, but I put my hand on his chest.
“Asher is my mate. The other guy is his little brother and one of my best friends. Now, why do you have al
of these photos?” I asked.
“Because you should be mine. Not theirs. They don’t know how to take care of you.” He said. And Asher
growled again.
“I’m sure by now that you can sense that Asher is an Alpha. I’d be really careful about what you say I can
only hold him off for so long.” I said.
“I’ve seen the way they look at you. Like a piece of meat. You’re more than that.” He said.
“You’re in love with her?” Asher asked.
“Yes.” Austin said.
“You two have never met. How can you be in love with her?” Asher asked.
