Chapter 445
Levi had seen the whole scene from a distance.
He chalked Jimmy and Glen’s attentiveness up to simple gallantry–two guys being considerate because out of eight or nine people on Maggie’s side. only she and Jessica were women. Nothing more.
Just as he looked away, Julia returned.
“You’re back?” he said. “I was about to call you. They’ve got the barbecue going–want some?”
Julia smiled. “Okay.”
Then she paused. “Aren’t we waiting for Harry?”
“He’s already eaten. Said not to wait.”
“All right.”
Sophia and her friends came back just then.
They’d looped around the area, and Sophia’s mood had improved. Hearing there was food, she brightened–then froze, spotting a familiar figure.
She blinked, thinking she’d imagined it.
Looking again, she realized she hadn’t. “…Is that Maggie? What’s she doing here?”
Maggie had tried to help with the grilling, but Jimmy and the others wouldn’t let her.
Not wanting to get in the way, she’d stepped out from under the big sun umbrella–so from Sophia’s angle, they couldn’t see Jimmy and the others‘ faces, only Maggie.
Julia already knew Maggie and Johnny were camping here; she’d made no effort to seek them out.
Now, at Sophia’s words, she glanced over–and there were Maggie and Jessica.
Sensing eyes on her, Maggie turned–and met Julia’s gaze.
Seeing Julia and Sophia, Maggie pressed her lips together and looked away.
Jessica saw them too and curled her lip before turning back. “She really came. Can’t shake her–like a bad penny.”
Maggie said nothing.
Across the way, Sophia snorted. “Can’t shake her, is right.”
Her friends, unaware of the backstory, asked, “Who’s Maggie?”
Sophia didn’t want to air family matters and frowned without answering.
Julia withdrew her gaze. “Let’s eat first.”
“Okay.”
She sat on a blanket, eating and chatting, but her mind wandered. A careless glance to the side–and she saw Jimmy.
She started–he was nearer than she’d realized.

Mr. CEO, Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
Chapter 445
Before she could react, he walked toward another spot and handed a skewer to Maggie.
Sophia and the others saw it too.
They had no time to process it before Jimmy noticed them.
Surprised to find Julia’s group so close, he gave them a brief nod, then looked back to Maggie. “Want anything else?”
Maggie shook her head. “No, I’m pretty full.”
Jimmy smiled. “All right. If you want more later, I’ll make it.”
Before Maggie could answer, Glen approached as well–carrying food in his hands.
