"What… what are you doing here again! I told you, I don't want to see you! Go, just go! Get out of here, do you hear me!"
Sandra's heart hammered in her chest. She swallowed nervously and tightened her grip on the bedsheets.
"Did Hannah come to see you?" he asked.
Seeing Lionel's serious expression, Sandra wondered if the two of them had fought again.
Her first instinct was to lie and say that Hannah had come and insulted her.
But just as the words were about to leave her lips, she clamped her mouth shut.
What if this was a trap?
She bit her lip, hesitating for a second before saying, "No. If you two had a fight, don't drag me into it. Get out! I don't want to see you. If you don't leave, I'm going to call for help!"
"You're sure she hasn't been here?"
Sandra said nothing, just snorted and looked away.
Lionel's frown deepened.
If Hannah hadn't come, then how did she get the audio recording?
Suddenly, Lionel thought of someone.
"Quennel came to see you today. What did he say to you!" Lionel demanded, his tone sharp.
Quennel had always been good to Hannah. And he had just left not long ago this morning, right before Hannah showed up with the recording.
It was hard not to suspect that Quennel had planted something in the room.
"Why should I tell you about my business with him? Lionel, I'm telling you, I have nothing to do with you anymore. Just give me my fifty million! Did you bring the money?"
Sandra's voice was laced with anxiety as she snapped at him, trying to appear defiant to hide her nervousness.
But she hadn't expected him to suddenly walk to her bedside and start carefully examining the area.
"What are you doing?"
"What did he come here to see you for!"
The fact that Quennel had come to see Sandra at all was strange enough. Planting a bug made him even more suspicious that they had some kind of prior relationship.
"If you don't tell me the truth, Sandra, then I can't help you."
They were definitely hiding something from him!
"Help? Help me with what? My family went bankrupt, and what have you done to help? I'm not expecting anything from you. All I want is the fifty million you owe me! What's wrong with me taking back what's mine?"
"Quennel shared the recording with Hannah."
"So what if he did? It's not like I said anything bad about her!"
As Sandra said this, she quickly replayed their conversation in her mind, terrified she actually had.
"She knows you asked for fifty million."
