My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart novel Chapter 107

**Chapter 107: A Stark Contrast**

He shifted his body ever so slightly, his gaze drifting toward Kieran, who was stationed behind the wheel.

Kieran immediately grasped the silent command, snatching up another umbrella before stepping out into the drizzling rain. He moved with purpose, making his way to assist Lily as she prepared to enter the car.

Oriana cast a quick glance back, offering a reassuring nod to Lily, before turning her attention to Micah. With a gentle yet firm touch, she guided him back toward their vehicle, ensuring he was settled safely inside before slipping in beside him.

The interior of the car was designed with sleek, frameless windows, allowing for a seamless transition as she folded the umbrella with ease after entering.

Kieran approached the vehicle, standing beneath the protective eaves. “Ms. Martinez, please step in. I’ll take you home first,” he instructed, his tone polite yet firm.

“Alright, thank you,” Lily replied, her voice barely above a whisper, a hint of gratitude lacing her words.

From the back seat, Luna’s eyes were fixed on Kieran, a mixture of curiosity and resentment brewing within her.

That’s right, she thought, her mind racing. This was the man she had seen at the school gate.

But why was he here?

A surge of bitterness rose within her, and she couldn’t help but voice her indignation. “Aren’t you Oriana’s husband?” she blurted out, her tone sharp.

Kieran turned his head slightly, his expression remaining calm and composed. “I’m merely the assistant, responsible for transporting Madam,” he replied, his voice steady, almost as if he were reciting a line he had rehearsed.

With that, he paid no further heed to Luna’s glaring expression, holding the umbrella aloft as he guided Lily back toward the car, oblivious to the storm brewing in her heart.

As the car began to turn, Luna’s eyes widened in disbelief as the true nature of the vehicle became clear to her.

Her expression twisted in shock and fury, a mask of pure resentment distorting her features.

Picking scraps? An ordinary man?

“Luna,” a voice interrupted, cutting through her chaotic thoughts.

It was Arthur, his tone slightly cold and rigid, but there was a hint of concern underlying his words.

Luna stiffened, forcing herself to suppress the tumult of emotions swirling within her. She turned to him, her expression tinged with a sense of injustice.

She glanced at Grant, her voice dropping to a small, timid whisper. “Arthur, I’m so sorry. I almost dragged you into this mess tonight, but I, I…”

Her voice trailed off as she buried her face in her hands, feeling the weight of her father’s expectations pressing heavily on her. “Dad saw Oriana was here too, and remembering how she was rude and rough with him at the banquet earlier, Dad told me to teach her a lesson. I wanted to stop him, but his blood pressure… I didn’t dare make him angry, so I had to…”

As she spoke, her voice cracked, and quiet sobs began to escape her lips. “I’m sorry, Arthur. I didn’t mean to make things difficult for Oriana. Later, when I came out, I wanted to pay for her bill, but Dad stopped me. I could only watch as Oriana and the others escalated the situation, almost ruining the restaurant’s reputation. I’ve failed your expectations of me. I’m really terrible…”

When Grant arrived, Luna had been elated, her heart soaring with hope as she asked Bramwell to see Cormac off first, eager to shift the blame onto him now.

Grant’s brow furrowed deeply, his concern evident. “What do you mean? What happened tonight?”

“It’s nothing, it’s all over,” she replied, her voice lacking conviction.
