**He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen 110: Entrusted Secrets**
“I absolutely will! My lips are practically sealed! Besides, Oriana is my only true friend. I swear, I won’t breathe a word to anyone!” Lily declared with fierce determination, her eyes wide with sincerity.
She quickly added, “I won’t even tell my brother!” The conviction in her voice was palpable.
Kieran nodded slowly, his expression softening. “Then it’s settled. Ms. Martinez, your secrets are safe with us.”
“Really? Thank you so much!” Lily exclaimed, her face lighting up with genuine relief and gratitude.
From the back seat, Oriana couldn’t help but chuckle at the exchange, finding joy in the innocent bond between her friend and Kieran.
As they pulled up to Lily’s apartment complex, the atmosphere felt warm and intimate.
In the dimly lit parking garage, Oriana stepped out of the car, walking alongside Lily towards the elevator.
“Don’t forget to boil some ginger tea when you get home,” Oriana reminded her, a hint of concern lacing her voice. “We got caught in that downpour, and the dampness in the air is quite heavy tonight.”
“Aye aye, captain!” Lily grinned mischievously, her spirits clearly lifted.
As they approached the elevator, Lily’s gaze drifted to a luxurious Maybach parked a short distance away. Leaning closer to Oriana, she whispered conspiratorially, “Oriana, I can see how much your husband adores you. Just look at the way he gazes at you—his eyes shine like diamonds, full of warmth and light. It’s hard to believe he has any sort of visual impairment!”
Oriana, however, shook her head, unconvinced. “He’s been living with this condition for quite a while now. He’s probably just adapted to social interactions.”
Lily pondered this for a moment, her admiration unwavering. “Oh, wow. He’s truly remarkable. To accomplish so much despite not having the same physical advantages as others… Oriana, you two must be so happy together!”
Oriana smiled softly, her heart swelling with warmth. “Thank you, Lily.”
Meanwhile, back at Aurora, the atmosphere was winding down as the final cleaning was completed. Employees trickled out one by one, their chatter fading into the night.
Hunter was the last to leave, his footsteps echoing in the now-quiet establishment. He approached Arthur Pendragon, who sat alone at the bar, lost in thought while swirling a glass of deep red wine.
“Mr. Pendragon,” Hunter began, his voice tinged with embarrassment. “I acted foolishly tonight. If you wish to scold or punish me, I fully accept it.”
Arthur swirled the diamond-patterned glass in his hand, the wine catching the light in glimmers.
The spotlight above flickered, casting shifting shadows across his face, revealing a complex expression that was difficult to decipher.
After a long, tense silence, Arthur finally spoke, his voice low and measured. “Retrieve the surveillance footage. I need the clips from Luna’s private room, especially the part where she instructed you to use the Romanée-Conti.”
Hunter’s eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly nodded. “Yes, of course. I’ll do it right away.”
Before long, Hunter had extracted the relevant segments of footage and sent them directly to Arthur’s phone.
“Mr. Pendragon, I—” he began, but Arthur cut him off.
“It’s alright. You can head home first. Tonight’s events weren’t your fault.” Arthur offered a reassuring pat on Hunter’s shoulder.
With a heavy sigh, Hunter gathered his belongings and exited, leaving Arthur alone at the bar, his finger hovering hesitantly over the play button on the footage.
