My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart novel Chapter 30

**TITLE: He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen**

**Chapter 30: Terms of Address**

Oriana shot her friend a playful glance, mischief dancing in her eyes. “Once I arrive in Jindiwood, I’m determined to meet your husband properly. I want to see if he truly lives up to the glowing praise you’ve given him. He better be deserving of someone like you.”

“Absolutely, I’ll make sure to introduce you when the moment is right,” Oriana replied, her tone light yet filled with anticipation.

After a few moments of lighthearted banter, Oriana bid her friend goodnight, her mind already shifting to the task of organizing her luggage.

With Chubby, her ever-enthusiastic little helper, assisting her in the process, everything felt much more manageable. The way Chubby zipped around, arranging and straightening up, brought a warmth to Oriana’s heart. It was a delightful experience to have such a spirited companion at home, adding a touch of joy to the mundane.

Once she completed her nightly routine, Oriana slid into bed, the sheets cool against her skin. Chubby, ever attentive, adjusted the lighting, dimming it gradually until the room was enveloped in a gentle darkness.

With a content sigh, Oriana closed her bright eyes and let the day’s events slip away, drifting softly into slumber.

An hour later, Chubby switched to silent mode, its tiny mechanical body quietly gliding out of the room. It made its way through the dimly lit living room, navigating towards the suite on the opposite side.

Inside that suite, the atmosphere was shrouded in shadow.

Micah, clad in luxurious dark silk pajamas, perched at the edge of the bed, his posture tense yet relaxed.

Chubby promptly shut off its display, the small red dot on its head flickering like a heartbeat. “Daddy, I helped Mommy with her packing! She washed up and went to bed,” it reported cheerfully, oblivious to the weight of the moment.

Micah’s dark eyes turned towards Chubby, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “Good job, Chubby,” he praised, his voice low and soothing.

“Mommy also called Zara, and they chatted about you, Daddy,” Chubby continued, its voice bubbling with excitement as it recounted the details of their conversation, spilling secrets like a child sharing candy.

As it mentioned the line, ‘We only met today,’ Micah’s expression shifted. He lowered his head slightly, the strands of hair falling across his forehead casting shadows over his intense gaze.

In the stillness of the room, his voice emerged, quiet yet heavy with emotion. “She really doesn’t remember.”

The next day dawned, and Grant found himself awake far earlier than he had intended.

Sleep had eluded him the night before, leaving him with a sense of unrest that clung to him like a shadow.

After soothing Luna back to sleep, he sat propped against the headboard, his eyes fixated on the ceiling, a gnawing anxiety gnawing at his insides.

His thoughts drifted back to the previous day’s events—Oriana, wielding a knife with an unsettling nonchalance, admitting to using it. The memory felt like a weight pressing down on his chest, suffocating and relentless.

A swirl of shock and anger coursed through him, and he found himself waiting, almost desperately, for Oriana to take the initiative and offer an apology.

Though he loathed to admit it, the frustration simmering within him was undeniable.

Luna had mentioned that Oriana was upset about the graduate recommendation spot, a matter that had become a source of tension. Grant had played a secretive role in that drama, discreetly handing her spot over to Luna.

At the time, he hadn’t given it much thought.

Oriana was brilliant; even without the recommendation, she would carve her own path to success.

Even if she didn’t gain admission to graduate school, she would still be by his side for life. Aurora would continue to flourish, and he had the means to ensure a comfortable existence for her. She could stand on her own without needing to compete with Luna.
