**Chapter 63: The Truth**
Rumors were slippery things, often distorted and unreliable.
Micah had conducted himself impeccably—Lyle’s concerns had been utterly unfounded.
He furrowed his brow, casting a sharp glance at Grant and the others before reprimanding his subordinates with a voice tinged with authority. “What are you still doing standing there? Get those unrelated troublemakers out of here, now!”
Alaric, steadying the visibly shaken Grant, shot back with indignation, “You’ve gone too far this time.”
Lyle, his smile cool and devoid of sincerity, responded, “Gentlemen, your interference has already hindered our progress. If you persist in creating a disturbance, I will have no choice but to involve the authorities.” With a decisive gesture, he raised his hand, summoning his assistant.
Grant retorted with a contemptuous sneer. “You’re just abusing your power.”
Uriah, sensing the tension escalating, stepped forward urgently, lowering his voice. “Mr. Holloway, we clearly misstepped here. We should just leave for now.” He offered a quick apology to Lyle and his team before, alongside Alaric, guiding Grant out of the scene.
Once the outsiders had departed, Lyle turned back, his eyes narrowing as he glared at the staff who had been entertaining Grant. “Stay vigilant. Micah and his wife are bound together for life. No one will succeed in tearing them apart.”
This national-level prodigy had finally settled down and started a family—who would dare to disrupt that?
As he recalled his earlier audacity, when he had insulted a figure of considerable stature that even Lyle respected, the staff felt a chill run down their spines. “Yes, sir,” they replied in unison, sweat beading on their brows.

Oriana helped Micah into the car, exhaling a long, heavy sigh, the weight of the earlier confrontation still lingering in the air.
“Kieran, go back,” she instructed, her voice steady.
“Kieran, you get out first,” came a second voice, low and unwavering.
The two voices echoed simultaneously, creating a moment of surprise for Oriana. She turned to the man beside her, noting the slight shadow that crossed his face.
In the driver’s seat, Kieran remained still, his expression unreadable.
In the past, Kieran would have instinctively obeyed Micah’s commands without hesitation. But now, with Oriana’s presence, uncertainty clouded his judgment.
A tense silence enveloped the car for several seconds before Oriana took the initiative, her voice soft yet firm. “Kieran, let me speak with him.”
Kieran’s eyes widened with relief, a flicker of understanding passing between them. “Alright. Mr. Caldwell, Mrs. Caldwell, just call me when you’re finished.” He unbuckled his seatbelt, rolled up the car window with a deliberate motion, and stepped several feet away, granting the couple the privacy they needed.
Oriana delicately curled her index finger, drawing Micah’s attention. “Micah, is there something you wish to share with me?”
“Yeah,” Micah replied candidly, his voice steady. “I don’t want you to harbor any doubts in your heart. I can’t bear the thought of you questioning my intentions, even for a moment.”
