My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart novel Chapter 90

**TITLE: He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen**

**Chapter 90: Exposing the Truth**

Oriana had once believed that Cormac was the epitome of kindness, a true healer at heart. Yet, time and again, her naïve dreams had been dashed against the harsh rocks of reality. What she had perceived as genuine kindness was merely a façade, an elaborate act that Cormac had meticulously crafted for the outside world to witness—a carefully orchestrated illusion.

“Anyone can play the victim,” William scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain. He gestured for Lily to come closer, lifting her sleeve to reveal a deep, dark bruise that marred her delicate skin.

Oriana’s heart sank at the sight. Her eyes narrowed, and she shot a piercing glare at James, who stood nearby, clutching his neck and beginning to feel a wave of dizziness wash over him.

Under the weight of her gaze, James felt an unexplainable chill creep down his spine. Anger surged within him. How could he, a grown man, be intimidated by a mere woman? If he hadn’t been taken by surprise, would she have had the audacity to draw blood?

William, his voice booming, pointed at Lily’s injury. “Look for yourself! A grown man laying hands on a girl, and the bruising appears so quickly—he might have even struck her hard enough to hit the bone.” He then turned his attention to James, seizing him by the collar as if he were a mere kitten. Amidst James’ startled yelps, William cast a cursory glance at his injury. “Skin broken, but thankfully no damage to muscle or bone.” His eyes then flicked toward Oriana, a silent message passing between them.

Oriana caught the look from her teacher and obediently lowered her gaze, her heart racing as she awaited his next command.

William huffed, his eyes narrowing as they landed on Cormac. “I shouldn’t need to teach you about assessing injuries, should I? My girl was acting in self-defense. If he hadn’t struck first, they wouldn’t have even needed to bother with him.”

James stood there, utterly dumbfounded. Was he truly suspected of being less injured than Lily? “They were the ones who initiated this! Sneaking around with recordings! That’s… that’s illegal!” His head spun, and he blurted out whatever thoughts rushed through his mind.

Oriana let out a low, mocking laugh, her voice steady. “I haven’t used the recording for any illegal purposes. How can it be illegal?”

James’ eyes widened in disbelief. “What nonsense is this? The legality of use depends on the purpose! You’ve invaded my privacy!”

Oriana pointed toward the surveillance camera mounted in the lab. “This is a public space, James, where you were loudly boasting. That hardly qualifies as privacy.”

William shook his head in disappointment, turning to Cormac, whose expression was dark and brooding. “You really ought to make your student read more books!”
