Harvey knows me well enough to know that I will always listen to what another has to say, I will not always agree with it and I don’t have to but everyone is entitled to have an opinion of their own.

“What put that smile on your face?” Pauline asks and I let them read the message Harvey send. We discuss what he might mean with that remark for the next few hours and we have come up with a few ridiculous ones, making this day end much better than it started.

The next morning we take our time to get ready and I show Delaney the dress I designed for her, her mouth opening and closing as she stares at it.

“Fuck.” Delaney mutters before she starts laughing her ass off, “Dax told me something about you trying to convince them that their Mother was a girly girl.” She says as she is trying to keep a straight face, but one look at me has her laughing her ass off once again.

I tell her about the outfits Stan designed for her Mates and that Ariel is adjusting the colors to have them match with her outfit. She stops laughing as she looks up at me and I see her eyes move back to the drawing of her dress, she looks at Pauline as she turns the drawing around.

Pauline stares at me for a moment before she starts laughing her ass off, she knows me well enough to know that I am not kidding.

We are still laughing as we place our bags in the SUV and I check if the house is locked down completely, just to be on the save side. Delaney and I still try to figure out what our Mates might have in store for us and Pauline deals with the Guards at the gate before we leave the enclosed community.

Fortune is curled up in the back of my head and she can’t wait to be in the presence of her Mates again, we both missed them last night.

I never thought it would be this difficult to sleep without my Mates, but Fortune told me it was worse because we parted with them while we were still mad at them and if we manage to make it right again this will not happen in the future.

So if I want to have decent night sleep without my Mates by my side, I need to make sure that they never piss me off or I never piss them off. Yeah, good luck with that.

When I ask him what he needs he tells me that he is already in our system, “I will call you when I have an answer for you and I won’t tell Maleah what you found. She might start plotting, a murder and we all know it won’t be yours.” He says just before he hangs up and I know it is best if Maleah doesn’t get a chance to find out about this beforehand.

After a rather restless night I take a shower before I decide to check my phone for message from Harvey and as I stand under the cascading water I wonder if Maleah slept any better than we did.

Yeah, the three of us slept in the same bed, it felt like the right thing to do and I truly believe it is the only reason why we have gotten any sleep last night. I am glad we already moved a few things into our room and I grab a black pair of jeans with a white shirt from the closet, before I head down for some breakfast.

I read through the Pack rules again as Dominic and Mack are talking about one of Maleah’s rules, I don’t remember reading these rules before I was initiated into the Pack and I try to remember if Dad ever mentioned an addition to the Pack rules.

I draw a blank on the subject and I link my Father to ask him if there ever had been an addition made to our Pack rules, but like the rest of us he can’t recall Max ever mentioning any additions to our Pack rules.

It only takes about five minutes before Dad walks in with Mom, Zane and Myrah, Dad doesn’t waste time as he ask me why I asked him that question and Dax hands him the tablet with the file.
