“How are your suits for the Spring Ball coming along?” Myrah asks and we have to tell them that we have no idea, that Maleah hasn’t said much about it,

I remind her that we still have more than a week to worry about that and Kay says that if he doesn’t have a suit to wear he will just wear a pair of jeans: Myrah starts arguing with him, until she sees the twinkle in his eyes and smacks him on the back of his head.

Kay tells his Mom that he still has his suit from the last time we went to the Spring Ball and that puts her at

ease.

My phone starts to buzz and as I pick it up I see I have a message from Harvey, he is on his way with the girls and the information. I relay the message to the others and I see everyone relaxing just a little bit, we won’t relax completely until we have our Mates in our arms.

No, that isn’t completely true, we won’t relax until we have taken care of Max and his stupid hidden Pack rules.

I walk back up to our room, I just need some time to myself to let everything we heard settle in my mind and with everyone still talking I can’t seem to find the peace and quiet to process it all. I lay down on the bed to close my eyes for a moment and the first thing that pops into my mind is seeing my Mate for the first time, not that I knew at the time there was a connection between us.

Mack told me I could have found her online, but I wanted to find that image for myself and after seeing her that first time I managed to find one single memory of Maleah. An image of her sitting in the garden behind the Pack–house with a sketchbook on her lap, her eyes staring of in the distance and I remember thinking she would turn into a very beautiful female.

I remember that I wasn’t too surprised about her hair color, but it wasn’t a common color and I was right about my prediction.

Maleah turned into a stunning female and I am glad that I get to call her my Mate. Her career never held my interest, but I kept track of her other career without knowing it and I think I need to ask her if all the cases the Elders contributed to her were actually carried out by her.

Our assignments are kept under lock and key by our tech–team and I have a feeling that her assignments are even better secured than ours. Maybe something I need to discuss with Dominic for the future, if we manage to salvage the mess we made and we can get Max to back off.

I don’t know how long I have been lying on the bed when I smell the scent of my Mate and I slowly open my eyes to look into her jade green eyes, a smile dancing on her face.

She asks me if she woke me and I tell her that I sometimes need to be on my own to process information, she nods her head as she tells me that I need to come downstairs.

“Don’t worry too much, Levi. Harvey told me to hear you out before I say or do anything and if Harvey gives me that warning I know there is more to a story than what I have seen or heard so far.” She says before she leans down to kiss me and I pull her on the Bed with me to deepen our kiss.

I reluctantly break the kiss because I want Maleah to understand that we never meant to hurt her or Delaney, we need to explain how Max’s idea on a Luna might have affected our reaction to the situation the other day.

I hold her tight for a few more minutes before I whisper in her ear that I love her and then I lift her off the bed to walk down the stairs with her safely in my arms, allowing Largo to be close to his Mates just a little longer.

I see Mack and Kay sitting on a couch with enough room for me next to them and place Maleah on Mack’s lap before I sit down, I can see Commander pushing forward when she snuggle into his chest.

Dominic is pacing the floor as he apologizes to both Delaney and Maleah for the way he reacted and when Maleah asks him about what Max said to them all hell breaks loose, it doesn’t take a genius to understand that those were Max’s words and not ours.

Harvey tells us that he was able to find out that Max made the file with additional Pack rules after he took over from his Father and that he kept a journal to write down the rule he wanted to put on his Pack rules, why he wanted to put that rule into the Pack rules.
