Chapter 542 Talking

Orion

I feel a lot better knowing that Calliope will never be able to come after Umayza again, Jasper has grown very protective of his big Sister and it is funny to hear him growl in my head when it comes to Umayza. He hates that he can’t talk to Yade, but he told me that she is passed out just like Umayza.

He disappears for a few seconds every now and then and I know he is just checking up on Yade, it is what keeps him from going insane at the sight of our Sister. Armand told me earlier we will had back to the Academy once Umayza is awake and I asked him why he included me.

“Orion, your Sister won’t leave you behind and I think your Father would hand me my ass if I allowed her to leave you behind.” He had said and I had laughed at the image Jasper showed me of a Wolf kicking a Lycan’s ass. It still feels strange thinking about my Father or about the fact he never understood why my Mother had left safety.

Ma would tell me everything happens for a reason, but that that reason is not always clear in that moment and I think she is right just like I told Calliope. No one knows what our lives would have looked like if things had happened differently and knowing what I know today I am glad we lived our lives the way we have.

I listen to Evander and Conri as they talk about their future with my Sister and I know that Alpha Drew will allow them to settle on our Pack territory if they ask him, but I think Evander and Conri hope that Umayza will chose their birth Pack.

“No, five years ago he stepped down and Amarah took over from him.” He answers me and I smile as I remember the young female I met. “How many Alphas has she pissed off by now?” I ask him and he and Conri are in stitches, but Malik asks me why the hell I would ask something like that.

“I met her when I was a young Pup and I could already tell she could piss someone off just by looking at them. She pissed of a few of the High–ranking Pups in my Pack and she only looked at them without uttering a word.” I explain and Malik looks at me as if that is impossible.

After Conri explains what happened with a few of their alliances after Atlas had announced he was stepping down Malik growled, “Those Alphas didn’t know Alpha Amarah, my Alpha always said she would make a better Alpha than most of the Alphas he knew.” I reply.

Conri asks me how my Alpha knows his Alpha so well, “Alpha Drew has an alliance with White Cresent Pack and he has seen your Alpha grow up. She even asked Luna Jess for help to organize a surprise party.” I answer him and he tells me he remembers their Mother talking about it.

Captain Armand tells everyone it is time to turn in for the night and within a few minutes it is just the three of us left. I grab a few matrasses from the rooms and move them into the living room, Evander gets up to help me to lay them on the floor in front of the couch.

Conri and Evander gently place her in the middle and they lay down on either side of them, I place my head near her head after I get onto the couch. Jasper has left me again, but I know he will be back in a few seconds and when he tells me that Yade is breathing normal again I listen to Umayza’s breathing.

“I think she might wake up in the morning, her breathing has also gone back to normal. I whisper, just before I drift off to sleep.

Umayza

I feel a bit strange and I don’t mean the bad kind. I slowly get aware of my surroundings and I know I have finally relived the entire memory, now I just need to regain my energy. I am wrapped in warmth and I smile as I remember the last time I woke up feeling like this, it was the night I spent with Conri and Evander.

I feel Yade stirring in my head for a second and then she is gone, probably checking up on our Brother. A moment later I hear a squeal above my head and I am rolling down the aisles as I hear groaning coming from either side of me, but I don’t pay it much attention.

I try to calm myself down, but knowing Yade and Jasper are probably having a party in Orion’s head keeps me from calming down. I get wrapped in four arms as I hear Orion ask, “Couldn’t you have kept her with you until I was awake?” making my Mates chuckle.

“How are you feeling, Little One?” Conri asks in between the kisses he is placing on my shoulder. “I feel tired, even though I have been passed out for hours. I need some food, some clean clothes and most of all I need a shower.” I tell him.

Evander buries his nose in my neck after he tells me I am not going anywhere, Conri asks me if I am ready to see my friends again and I ask if I can spend a little more time with just the three of them. “I think Orion is too busy arguing with Yade and Jasper to notice if we walked out.” Evander whispers in my ear.

I turn on my stomach to look at Orion and I can tell he is in a full blown argument with Yade and Jasper, which is funny to watch. I place my hand on his cheek and even that takes a few moments to register before he looks at me with a smile on his face.

“Jasper wants Yade to get some more rest, but she says she is back to her old self and I was trying to play the peace keeper.” He says to me. I tell him Yade always bounces back quicker than I do, but that I understand that Jasper is just worried about his Sister.

We just lay there for a while, no one says a word and I am really enjoying the silence as I think about the next few days. Today at midnight the days of the Full Moon start and I really want to stay here until tomorrow, I want to experience how it feels to find your fated Mate.

I think I might have to exaggerate being tired to make sure we can stay another night; I want to be marked before we head home and I know my Mates will feel the same. I snuggle deeper into the arms that surround me and I close my eyes just to enjoy the silence.

I slowly open my eyes to be met by Orion’s chocolate brown eyes and I ask him if my Mates know he has taken their place, “Yes, they know. They are talking to Captain Armand about leaving tomorrow morning. they want to make sure that you get enough rest.” He answers.
