Chapter 557 Daycare

Yade is blowing a casket in my head and I have to restrain myself from handing over control to her. Have my Mates lost their fucking minds? I should stay at home because I am a female, I should give up my career

because I am a female.

“Okay, let me see if I got this straight. The two of you believe that just because I am a female I should give up my carcer to stay at home and raise our Pups. You think that the one in our relationship with the most important talent to the Council should give up her career.

I suggest that the two of you think long and hard about what I just said before you ever bring this subject up again. If there are Pups in our future and the two of you really feel this way I might have to consider raising them on my own.” I growl as I walk out of the door, leaving behind two stunned Mates.

I link Dad to ask where he is and he tells me they are out front. I walk out the door and ask Ma and Asilda to accompany me as I need to talk to someone about my idiotic Mates. Ma leads us to her cottage and a smile appears on my face as I smell the familiar scent of my baby Brother.

After I tell them what happened between me and my Mates I find out that Ma is very protective, she is about to rip them a new asshole. Ma tells me I made the right decision in telling them off, this has to be a mutual decision and not something they force on me..

Asilda is quiet as Ma is ranting on and on about how stupid my Mates are and I am glad she wasn’t there during the conversation, she might have killed both of them. Suddenly Ma stops talking as she turns to Asilda, “Don’t you have an opinion about this, Dear?” Ma asks.

“What if there is a solution that doesn’t involve someone giving up their career?” Asilda asks and Ma asks her to elaborate. “Orion already knows this. I never wanted a career, I want a family of my own and stay at home to raise my Pups. I am willing to look after your Pups if you have to go on assignment and I bet Ma will be more then willing to help as well.”

Ma starts to smile as Asilda is talking and I think she likes the idea of Orion having Pups with Asilda. Her smile gets bigger when Asilda mentions both of them looking after our Pups and I believe this Pack will lose two members if we settle down in White Crescent Pack, if the name stays in tact that is.

Asilda and Ma are already talking about cottages near one and other and Asilda even mentions opening a sort of daycare for Pups, Ma jumps right in as they talk about what they will need to make that a reality. “For one, you need to move Packs and secondly you will need a big cottage to look after those Pups, Ma.” I

answer.

I point out that some might ask them to look after their Pups for a night if they have to run border patrol or if they have something to celebrate and with that I have unleashed an entire new discussion between Ma and Asilda. Smiling I sit back as the two of them are planning a new career for the two of them.

dub “Little One, can you come back? We want to talk about this.” I hear Conri say in my head and I tell him I w right there. I hug Ma and Asilda before I walk out of the door and as I reach the Pack–house I tell Dad and Orion where their Mates are.

I stare at the door she just walked out off and Mylo is roaring in my head at my stupidity as he calls it, as I turn towards Conri his fist connects with my face. “You fucking Idiot.” He growls as he starts pacing the room and for a moment I am at a loss for words.

“I I told you we needed to talk about it with her and Yes I know I didn’t help matters by making it sound she should give up her career. She is right, she is the one with an extraordinary gift and many Werewolve and Lycans can benefit from that.

We are just Squad–members, we can be replaced and I am not saying that to diminish our job. Compare the two jobs and you will have to agree with me that replacing Umayza will be impossible, her gift is the strongest anyone has ever heard of.” Conri says.

We screwed up again and I think about what Conri said before I respond, “I know that and maybe we should have formulated our discussion a bit differently. I don’t want her to give up her career and I doubt Mom would allow her to give it up just because we have Pups.

Mom might volunteer to look after our Pups if we have to go on assignment and maybe we can come up with a solution of our own if we talk about it honestly with Umayza.” I look at him as I speak my mind and I can see that he is processing my thoughts.

“I think you are right about what Mom would probably do and we shouldn’t forget about Ma and Asilda. they will probably offer their help if we need it. I think that maybe one of us can stay at home from time to time, maybe send Orion with the Squad to fill up that spot.” Conri replies.

It looks like we are figuring out solutions as we go and maybe Umayza has a few ideas of her own, we really need to discuss this with her. I tell Conri we need to discuss this with our Mate and he tells me he will link her to ask her to come home, so we can talk this through.

As she walks in I ask her who she vented her disgruntlement with and she smiles as she says she had a long and interesting talk with Ma and Asilda. Conri and I apologize for not formulating our words correctly, “We don’t want you to give up your career, we just wanted to know if that is what you want to do if we ever have Pups.

If you want to make adjustments to your assignments as in the amount or which kind of assignments, we have seen what it can do to you and we need to discuss what we do or tell our Pups if it ever leaves you unconscious again.” I say.

Conri points out there are a lot of things we need to talk about, including what we tell our Pups about our own assignments. “I know we can’t tell them any details, but do we tell them they can be dangerous or is that something we leave out of the conversation with our Pups.”

Umayza smiles as she sits down in an armchair, “The most important thing is that we find a place to life, a Pack that is willing to take us in and I know which Pack we would prefer. However, we have to take into consideration they might not want us to settle on Pack grounds.

I doubt they would turn us down after everything I heard from you about your Alpha, but she has a Mate now and he might not agree with it. So I believe the first thing we need to do is make sure we have a back- up plan and I thought about asking Alpha Drew, it will mean Ma and Orion don’t have to move.” She says.

Conri and I think about her statement for a moment and Conri tells her we should ask Alpha Drew after dinner, but that we do explain that White Crescent Pack is our first choice. We get ready for dinner as Umayza tells us what Asilda and Ma/offered and when she tells us Asilda wants to start a daycare for Pups with Ma I am actually not that surprised.

“That might be something Alpha Amarah would like to hear more about, especially with combining two large Packs. It might be a challenge to find the right spot to build a cottage that can be used as a daycare, but I think Mom can help with that” I answer.

We all agree it shouldn’t be to far from the Pack–house, but we tell Umayza that we don’t know which Pack- house they will move into and once we find that out we can make further plans. By the time we are walking
