Next Man, Better Plan novel Chapter 133

Stephanie was acting very strangely today.

Stephanie glanced at the time out of the corner of her eye. It should be about time.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, a middle-aged man in his early fifties suddenly appeared.

Behind him followed another middle-aged man who walked with a noticeable limp.

Both men were short, with sun-darkened skin, and dressed in plain, even somewhat grimy, clothes.

They wore dusty cloth shoes that left muddy footprints with every step, completely out of place in the upscale office building.

Perhaps because their presence was so jarring, people quickly noticed them.

The crowd shot them disgusted looks, clearly wondering why such people were in their office building.

Someone asked, "Who are you looking for?"

The man in front spoke in a thick, regional accent. "Where's Victoria?"

As soon as he spoke, everyone's gaze fell on Victoria in unison.

Someone piped up, "Victoria, are these your relatives?"

The moment she saw them, a look of terror crossed Victoria's face. She instinctively backed away, her first impulse to turn and run.

But the man quickly caught up, grabbing her by the elbow from behind. "Victoria? Don't you recognize me?"

Everyone stared at the scene, shocked.

Serena, standing next to Victoria, was completely dumbfounded.

This grimy man was claiming to be Victoria's relative?

How could a high-society heiress like her have such poor relatives?

"I called you, Victoria. Why didn't you answer?"

The man frowned, and his already dark skin made the expression on his face seem harsh.
