Next Man, Better Plan novel Chapter 164

Stephanie woke up early.

Today was Susan's birthday, and she had to go to the hotel to celebrate with her.

For an occasion like this, as Susan's daughter, she couldn't afford to look shabby. It would only fuel gossip that the Jackson family had truly fallen.

As a journalist, Cecilia had extensive contacts. She had arranged for a renowned image consultant to put together an outfit for Stephanie.

When Stephanie stepped out of the dressing room, everyone's eyes lit up.

Cecilia's jaw dropped. "I've photographed so many celebrities, Stephanie, but I swear on my life, you wouldn't look out of place standing next to any of them!"

Look at that skin, practically glowing, and that aura—she was flawless from every angle!

The male designer beside her was equally stunned. "Ms. Jackson, it's a real shame you're not in show business. You could stand there and do nothing and have a legion of fans just for your looks."

Stephanie looked at her reflection in the mirror and smiled. "That's because your gown is beautiful."

The compliment made the designer beam. He'd been in the business for a long time, and his clients were usually either pampered heiresses or arrogant celebrities. Someone so down-to-earth was a rarity.

Stephanie was a generous client, purchasing the six-figure gown without batting an eye.

The designer then pointed to a men's suit. "Ms. Jackson, this is a matching set. Do you have a boyfriend? Perhaps you'd like to take this as well?"

The sapphire blue suit was bold and required a certain charisma to pull off. It was a perfect match for the diamond-studded blue gown she was wearing.

Together, they would look like the epitome of high-society glamour.

Cecilia was already imagining how regal and commanding Jonathan would look in it.

She assumed Stephanie would buy it on the spot, but instead, she just said softly, "No, thank you. I'll just take the gown."

As they left the studio, Cecilia asked, puzzled, "What's wrong? Did you and Jonathan have a fight?"

Not many men could pull off that shade of blue, but it would have suited Jonathan's aura perfectly. The two of them together would have looked like a magazine cover, a stunningly matched pair.
