Next Man, Better Plan novel Chapter 26

After the tour, the wealthy man and his mistress left, saying they needed to crunch the numbers.

The agent was the last to leave. Quennel beckoned him over.

"Sir, is there something you need?"

Quennel's voice was cold. "Don't bring anyone else to see this house. I'm buying it."

The agent was stunned, clearly not understanding. "Are you serious?"

Quennel tossed a credit card onto the table. "Call her. Tell her the buyer wants to meet in person."

The agent nodded quickly, but the more he thought about it, the less sense it made.

Were this couple just passing the property from one hand to the other, letting him earn an easy commission in the middle?

He truly didn't understand the world of the rich.

"Sir, are you really buying it, or are you just using me as a messenger to get her to meet you?"

From his years of experience, the agent could tell this couple was having a fight. He didn't want to get played and end up with nothing for his trouble.

Quennel leaned back on the sofa. "What's the commission? How about I transfer you thirty thousand now as a deposit?"

When the call came, Stephanie had just finished her soup and the doctor was doing his rounds.

Hearing that someone was interested in the villa, she said, "I'm not feeling well these couple of days, so it's not a good time to meet. If the buyer is serious, tell them to consider the price carefully. If they accept it, we can meet when it's time to sign the contract."

After all, she didn't want to make a trip just to listen to someone haggle. The property was already priced well below market value.
