Serena added, “Just apologize already. Victoria is being generous by not pressing the issue. Stephanie, stealing her boyfriend was bad enough, but now you’re destroying her work too?”
Stephanie frowned. “I stole Victoria’s boyfriend? Did Victoria tell you that herself?”
Victoria tugged on Serena’s sleeve, trying to look like she wanted to de-escalate the situation. “Serena, that’s enough, let it go. I don’t plan on pursuing this.”
But Serena was blunt and insisted, “Stephanie, are you denying it? During the team-building event a few days ago, Victoria’s boyfriend ran out after you, and Victoria was so heartbroken she cried! Can you swear you didn't seduce Mr. Gonzalez?”
At this, Stephanie laughed.
Her, seduce Quennel? What a joke.
So that was it. When she had left the team-building event early, Victoria had been busy poisoning everyone against her.
How could this woman be so shameless?
Stephanie looked at Victoria and asked, “Hearing Serena say that, don’t you feel guilty?”
Of course, Victoria felt guilty, but in front of so many people, she couldn't admit it, even if she wanted to.
Victoria tried to change the subject. “Regardless, it’s a fact that you ruined my computer. I don’t want to argue with you anymore. I just want to focus on the project data so I don’t delay our progress or harm the company’s interests.”
Then, Victoria looked at Troy. “Mr. Cooper, I’d like to request a new computer. I’ll skip lunch and see if I can recreate the data Verdant Grove Capital needs before the end of the day.”
Troy had no objections. “Good, good. I’ll arrange that for you right away.”
Serena immediately said, “I’ll bring you back some food later.”
“Thank you.”
“Wow, Victoria is so composed. She’s not even holding a grudge?”
“Sigh! This just makes Stephanie look even worse. Not only does she destroy people’s work, but she also steals their boyfriends.”
