**TITLE: Faith Didn’t Survive Time – by Aadi Sharma**
**Chapter 70**
It felt as though an intense clash was unfolding between two brothers, each vying for dominance in a battle that was as emotional as it was heated.
Julian had tasted defeat, yet he was far from ready to concede entirely.
Renee, feeling a surge of irritation, forcefully yanked her arm free from his grip. “What exactly are you trying to say?” she demanded, her voice tinged with disbelief.
“I…” Julian faltered for a moment, the weight of his thoughts momentarily choking him. After a heavy pause, he finally managed to say, “Adam is fickle. You should divorce him.”
A flicker of amusement danced in Renee’s eyes, and a small smile crept onto her lips. “Divorce him and marry you instead? Should we pick an auspicious date while we’re at it? Maybe we can arrange for Kayla and Adam to tie the knot on the same day too?”
Julian’s eyes brightened at her suggestion, excitement bubbling within him. “Great idea! I’d love that.”
Renee’s expression shifted to one of disbelief, her glare sharp and piercing. “Julian, you’re seriously twisted!” she shot back, her voice laced with contempt. “You might not care about dignity, but I still do. If you’re feeling unwell, go to the hospital and get your brain checked.”
Fuming with indignation, she pivoted on her heel, ready to walk away.
In that moment, Renee felt no warmth from Julian’s so-called devotion. Instead, it felt more like persistent harassment, an unrelenting pressure that had built up over the years.
“Renee! One day, you’ll be on your knees, begging me to marry you!” Julian’s voice echoed behind her, laced with frustration. He kicked a nearby tree with force, the sound of his anger reverberating in the air. “So damn annoying!”
Not far off, Renee had just begun to regain her composure when her gaze landed on a familiar figure. Her eyes sparkled, and her entire demeanor shifted, transforming into one of flattery and charm.
“Mr. Zeller, what a delightful coincidence!” she exclaimed, her voice brightening.
Jasper stood before her, clad in a striking deep burgundy shirt that clung to his form perfectly. His hair was slicked back with an effortless grace, and the sleek silver-gray sunglasses perched on his nose only added to his allure. Even with his eyes obscured, his perfectly sculpted face radiated an irresistible handsomeness from every angle.
As he spoke, his Adam’s apple bobbed slightly, and the collar of his shirt was casually undone, revealing a silver necklace that rested against his skin and a glimpse of his chiseled collarbones. He exuded an intoxicating charisma, even under the bright light of day.
How could a man possess such striking good looks?
The burgundy shirt seemed tailor-made for him, accentuating every contour of his physique.
