Oops I Banged the CEO novel Chapter 115

Yvonne had already gotten a general sense of things before coming—this entire nineteenth floor was reserved exclusively for Grandma Hamilton, with the most elite medical team at her side.

Wearing her casual clothes and being a woman, Yvonne knew herself to be an easy target for Xenia’s suspicions. Xenia, so notoriously obsessive, would definitely see her as an intruder.

Before Yvonne could speak, Xenia’s sharp voice cut through the air. “Have I seen you somewhere before? Take off your mask.”

Even though Yvonne’s clothes didn’t seem like the sort you’d see in a high-end private hospital, and her mask covered her face, her delicate features and flawless, makeup-free skin still stood out. Xenia, obviously bothered, was determined to get a good look at her.

When Yvonne didn’t move, Xenia shot a look at her bodyguard.

He understood instantly, stepping forward to intimidate Yvonne.

Her heart pounded in her chest.

“Oh, sorry! Wrong button, my mistake. I’m just here with the flu, going to see a doctor on the ninth floor. If I take my mask off, I might infect you,” Yvonne squeaked out, purposely making her voice timid and uncertain.

The moment Xenia heard that, she recoiled, putting distance between them.

“If you’re sick, you should stay away from people!” Xenia snapped, her expression twisted in disgust.

Yvonne’s tone grew even more innocent. “But this is a hospital. Who’d be here unless they were sick, right?”

She squeezed forward and pressed the button for the ninth floor.

Xenia eyed her like she was poisonous, watching her coldly with sharp, suspicious eyes.

The elevator soon arrived at the ninth floor, and Yvonne hurried out.

Thank God she hadn’t let Xenia see her face today. That could’ve been disastrous.

Yvonne walked a good distance down the corridor, making sure no one was following her. Only then did she slip into another elevator and head downstairs.

“Grandma, who were you talking about just now?” Xenia’s smile faltered, her voice tight with barely concealed longing.

“Ms. White, you’re here unannounced—surely not out of genuine concern for an old woman like me. This isn’t really the place for you, is it? Why don’t you head on home?”

Mrs. Hamilton’s smile was polite, but her tone was cool and distant, carrying the effortless authority of a matriarch.

“Grandma, has Marico gotten married? To whom? When did this happen?” Xenia couldn’t hide the desperation in her voice.

Mrs. Hamilton’s expression hardened, her eyes—magnified behind reading glasses—growing sharp and steely.

“Ms. White, as the wise say, ‘True understanding means letting go of illusion; holding on only brings suffering. Release your obsession, and you’ll find peace.’ You and Marico are worlds apart. Letting go is the best thing you can do for yourself.”

“Grandma Hamilton, I fell in love with Marico at first sight. All these years, he’s the only one I care about. If he marries someone else, what am I supposed to do? It’s just too cruel.”
