Oops I Banged the CEO novel Chapter 120

He pulled out his phone and called Kent without hesitation.

“You have ten minutes. If any of the Green Group’s media outlets are still running rumors about me and Xenia, I’ll make sure every last one of them is shut down tomorrow.”

His voice was cool and detached, yet carried an unmistakable air of authority.

Yvonne, listening nearby, felt a strange sense of déjà vu—like she was back in the CEO’s office, being questioned and given orders. Her palms started to sweat nervously.

“Can your friend’s family handle this?” he asked.

“No problem. The Greens practically run half the entertainment media in this city. Kent’s made a fortune off this stuff. I’ll make sure he coughs it all up tomorrow—serves him right for thinking he could pull this on me.” Marico’s tone made it clear he had no patience for fabricated scandals.

“Well, if you insist on hiding your marriage, of course people are going to try their luck. But if everyone knew you were married, no one would dare make a move.” Mrs. Hamilton accepted the calming herbal tea Fiona handed her and took a small sip, her tone weighed with meaning.

He turned to Yvonne, his gaze gentle yet intent. “That’s up to her. If you don’t mind, I’ll have the company make a public announcement about our marriage. Are you okay with that?”

“Wait—what if people start digging into your private life?” Yvonne’s heart skipped a beat, the thought making her more anxious. Announcing their marriage somehow felt less safe than keeping it secret.

“It’s just a wedding announcement. I’ll make sure you’re protected. If you don’t like being in the spotlight, we’ll keep you out of it. Sometimes, too much attention really isn’t a good thing,” Mrs. Hamilton reassured her softly.

Yvonne hesitated but nodded in agreement. She understood Grandma Hamilton was on her side, offering support, and she wanted to accept it. But after a moment’s thought, she bit her lip and whispered, “Maybe…let’s not make it public just yet. I know you don’t like being in the public eye either.”

Mrs. Hamilton didn’t press her any further. “Alright, we’ll do it your way. No public announcement for now. But Marico, make sure there’s no more of this nonsense. Don’t let your wife worry because of other women.”

During the morning rush, Marico rode the elevator with a group of executives and staff. It should have been an ordinary workday—except for the wedding band gleaming on his hand. The entire Hamilton Group was thrown into a frenzy.

Yvonne saw the buzz in the company group chat—a bold colleague had snapped a photo and shared it. Her mind went blank. He hadn’t been wearing it when he left the house, but there it was in the elevator: the exact matching ring to hers.

Now, who could possibly believe there was nothing between them?

“Mr. Hamilton’s got someone? That ring looks exactly like Yvonne’s!” Nydia zoomed in on the photo, then chimed in with her take.

Yvonne wanted to escape, but Nydia’s words had everyone crowding around her, eager for a look at her ring.

“Yvonne, are you dating Mr. Hamilton?” Nydia blurted out, eyes sparkling with excitement.
