Oops I Banged the CEO novel Chapter 180

Yvonne was stunned. She hadn’t expected Linda to confront her so directly. “The coffee was provided by the venue—I never touched it. If you don’t believe me, call the police and check the security footage,” Yvonne replied, quickly regaining her composure.

Linda stared at Yvonne, her expression frozen in disbelief, eyes fixed with accusation.

But Yvonne remained calm, her face betraying nothing—not a hint of compromise in the face of Linda’s slander.

A crowd began to gather, and it didn’t take long for everyone to sense that something was off about Linda’s story.

“Is she having an allergic reaction? She looks like she might be,” someone in the crowd murmured. One of the organizers stepped forward, holding out some allergy medication. “Ma’am, are you allergic to something? I have antihistamines—take one, and you’ll feel better in no time.”

Linda glanced at the pills, but refused to take them. If she really took the medicine and recovered instantly, her plan would fall apart.

The truth was, there was nothing wrong with the coffee Yvonne had handed her. Linda herself had secretly eaten a piece of dried mango—despite being allergic to mangoes since childhood, she hadn’t touched them for years.

If not for her scheme to drag Yvonne down, she would never have risked it.

Linda shook her head weakly, her voice feeble. “I don’t know what’s wrong. I only had the coffee, and I’m not allergic to that.”

Yvonne wanted to call for an ambulance, but before she could, Linda grabbed Yvonne’s hand tightly. “Whether you hurt me or not, the presentation is about to start. You have to go up and give the speech for me. You’re good at this—think of it as practice. The speech is ready, just take it out of my bag.”

“This project has been handled by our department from start to finish—no one knows it better than we do,” Linda rasped, her voice hoarse.

Yvonne’s brow furrowed as she looked at Linda, just as the host began introducing the Hamilton Group to the audience.

She had no choice—she was being thrown to the wolves.

Trying to steady herself, she unfolded the speech, ready to introduce the project—only to find every page absolutely blank.

Her mind went completely blank. She was in utter shock, her clear eyes wide with disbelief.

She turned to look for Linda, only to see that the woman’s frailty had vanished. Now, Linda’s eyes glittered with cold triumph as she watched Yvonne struggle.

She’d been set up.

This project was crucial to the Hamilton Group’s international reputation. If she failed, the company’s name would be dragged through the mud.

Linda wanted to see her ruined.
