"They say... I'm not worthy of you..."
Upon hearing this, Vincent, feeling a little heartache, embraced her, "Who says? The only one who is worthy of me is you!"
Hearing these words, Jane's heart clenched in anger.
If only Ariana is worthy of him, what about her?
The police officer subjected to the public display of affection cleared his throat and said to Ariana, "Ms. White, your statement is almost complete. You can leave for now."
Vincent responded, "Alright, thank you for dealing with this matter."
Jane thought that the incident was finally over and let out a sigh of relief. Just as she was about to ask if she could leave as well, she heard the officer say:
"Ms. White, you cannot leave yet. Please cooperate with our investigation."
She thought she could finally leave, and hearing this, she was almost mad with frustration.
Seeing Jane's annoyed face, Ariana couldn't help but laugh.
Jane looked at Vincent begrudgingly, hoping to plead for his assistance to help her. But given the trouble she had caused and the fact that Ariana was standing right there, out of fear she might discern something, he said:
"Since that's the case, you should cooperate with the police. I'll leave my assistant to accompany you. I have pressing matters at the company, so I'll escort your sister home first."
Seeing that she was about to be left behind, Jane clenched her teeth in anger, yet didn't dare to lose her temper.
As they stepped out of the police station, Ariana hesitated and looked back.
Vincent guessed that she was concerned about whether Jane would be okay. He reassured her, "It's ok, she can go home after the record is finished, so don't worry too much."
