Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 475

In Lexi's heart, she firmly believed that the current strained relationship between her and Stefan was entirely due to Allison's interference.

Even though Stefan had sternly warned her, she remained convinced that Allison had deceived him—or perhaps he was still harboring resentment toward her.

Though her heart ached, Lexi refused to back down. She feared that if she truly gave up now, it would mean the definitive end between her and Stefan. She clung to the belief that he was waiting for her, and if she faltered halfway, his disappointment would only deepen, sealing their fate for good. Fueled by this conviction, she endured Stefan's repeated coldness without ever losing hope.

She was certain this was merely his way of testing her.

But her father's sudden misfortune struck her like a slap across the face!

She refused to believe Stefan was behind it.

Even if he was, it must have been Allison whispering poison into his ear, manipulating him into turning against her! After days of brooding in silence, Lexi resolved to confront Allison and settle this once and for all.

Lexi had always seen herself as the victim, and Allison as the perpetrator, the homewrecker. So even standing on the Jay Family's turf, she felt not an ounce of guilt.

Her anger flared as she glared at Ariana, listening to the woman's humiliating remarks with simmering fury.

With a cold turn of her head, Lexi deliberately ignored Ariana, dismissing her as nothing more than a snobbish, two-faced opportunist.

Just then, faint footsteps echoed from the staircase above.

Lexi looked up—and there she was. Allison descended gracefully, her expression composed, dressed in a sleek yet casual dress. Her sharp eyes were icy, and the moment they landed on Lexi, the frost in her gaze deepened, sending an involuntary chill down the spine.

Even Lexi was taken aback. In such a short time, Allison seemed... different from the last time they'd met.

But she didn't dwell on it. Instead, she lifted her gaze slightly, her eyes laced with mockery as she said, "Oh? Finally decided to show yourself? Allison, I never imagined you'd be such a coward, needing others to fight your battles even in your own home. Enough chit-chat. I just want to ask one thing: Was it you who egged Stefan into doing what he did to my father?"

Allison's eyes turned icy.

Though she genuinely had no idea what had happened, the sight of this woman—the very person responsible for her daughter's current state—made her respond coldly. "So what if it was?"

Lexi sneered. "I knew it was you! Allison, I never thought you could stoop so low!"

Allison's expression remained indifferent. At the word "low," she even let out a soft laugh. "Low? Not as low as you, Miss Kendrick. Meddling in someone else's marriage when they're already taken. Tell me, Miss Kendrick, have you ever learned the meaning of decency? Oh, wait—my mistake. You studied abroad, so of course you never learned the etiquette of our country."

Lexi was livid. "You—"

Seeing Lexi's fury, Allison raised a finger to her lips, silencing her before continuing smoothly, "No need to get worked up. That wasn’t an insult—it was me helping you out. Isn’t Miss Kendrick always so good at making excuses for herself? Well, no need this time. I’ve got one ready for you."

And right now, Allison was teetering on the edge of an explosion.

Ariana had never seen her like this—so sharp, so relentless. It was clear just how deeply she despised Lexi.

Then again, the woman truly deserved the hatred.

The thought of Allison's fragile daughter, barely clinging to life in the hospital's incubator, sent a cold glint flashing through Ariana's eyes. The way Allison was humiliating Lexi now was already mercy. Any other mother would have lunged at her with a knife by now.

Lexi stared at Allison's aggressive stance, her ears burning with every venomous word. Her eyes reddened, as if she were seconds away from throwing herself at Allison in a fight.

But she held back.

Clenching her jaw, Lexi forced her expression into blank indifference. "Allison," she said, voice tight, "Don't think for a second I believe a word you're saying. I know Stefan has always loved me. You won’t drive us apart."

At that, Allison laughed.

A laugh so cold it could freeze blood.

"Fine," she sneered. "Then go find Stefan. See for yourself whether he still cares for you. I guarantee—if you dare show your face in front of him even once, he’ll make your life ten times worse than it is now." Her lips curled into a cruel smile. "You already know that, don’t you, Miss Kendrick?"
