Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 576

Lambert had been keeping vigil by Ariana's bedside for days.

Almost every day, the Stone family's medical team would find Lambert stationed beside his wife, unless urgent business matters forced him away. If anyone needed Lambert and couldn’t find him, there was no need to guess—he was undoubtedly here with Ariana.

The doctors grew increasingly anxious with each passing day, beads of cold sweat forming on their brows. If the young mistress failed to wake, it wouldn’t just be a professional failure—it would cast doubt on their expertise. After all, their initial diagnosis had been clear: her brain showed no significant damage, and she should have regained consciousness quickly.

Yet days had slipped by with no sign of improvement, leaving even them questioning whether they had missed something.

But now—finally—she was awake!

The doctors were practically more relieved than Lambert himself, their eyes glistening with unshed tears.

Ariana blinked groggily, her gaze drifting unsteadily around the room. Slowly, her vision sharpened, awareness seeping back—though a lingering haze still clouded her eyes.

She took in her surroundings before murmuring, "Where... am I?"

The prolonged slumber, coupled with the vivid dreams of her past life, had left her memories tangled. A dull ache throbbed in her skull, and she couldn’t piece together how she had ended up here.

One of the doctors quickly stepped forward, his voice gentle but firm. "Don’t force yourself to remember anything just yet, Mrs. Stone. Rest first. It’ll all come back to you in time."

Trying now would only worsen the pain.

It felt like waking up with a hangover, her mind still foggy and fragmented.

It wasn’t that she had forgotten—her brain simply hadn’t fully rebooted yet. Trying to force her thoughts only made her head throb with pain.

Ariana nodded instinctively.

Just then, Lambert finally arrived, fashionably late.

His eyes were tinged with faint streaks of red, and though his face was clean-shaven, exhaustion clung to him like a shadow. It was clear he hadn’t slept a wink this entire time. Maybe it was just her imagination, but despite his usual icy expression, Ariana could swear she saw something flicker in his eyes—something fragile, almost disbelieving, as if he were afraid she might vanish again.

She crooked a finger at him playfully and blinked. "What, did you wake up and forget your wife already?"

A teasing smile curled at her lips.

Lambert seemed to snap back to reality then. A surge of wild joy flashed in his eyes before he strode to her bedside in an instant. He pulled her into a tight embrace, as though reclaiming something precious he’d lost. His voice was low, rough from disuse. "You’re finally awake."

It was the kind of husky, magnetic tone girls usually swooned over.

But Ariana didn’t like it.

In fact, it made her ache.

She thought of the Lambert from her past life—the one who had ended up alone, cold, and unfeeling—and a pang of sorrow twisted in her chest. Gently, she wrapped her arms around him in return. Even though his grip was so tight she could barely breathe, she didn’t complain. Instead, she murmured softly, "Yes, I’m awake. I’m sorry for making you wait so long."

"Don’t do it again," he rasped.

Yet Ariana inexplicably detected a hint of grievance beneath that icy tone.

A soft smile curved her lips as she murmured, "Alright."

Every doctor in the hospital room was forced to witness this overwhelming display of affection, feeling as though their eyes had been scorched. The younger physicians even flushed with embarrassment, while the more seasoned ones remained composed—though not without casting a discreet glance at President Stone to confirm he had no intention of acknowledging them before silently slipping out of the room.
