Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 645

Earl wasn't aware of this.

But he suspected their daughter might have kept silent back then to spare their feelings, which led to the arranged marriage.

Hearing his explanation, Kendra's expression turned even frostier. "Does our Harper Corporation really need her to sacrifice her marriage just to maintain ties with the Moore Group? And if that was truly her intention, why was she so decisive about the divorce? Enough—I think I understand what she's thinking. Tell her to drop this idea immediately. Our family has no room for such disgrace."

With that, Kendra turned to leave.

Seeing her anger, Earl panicked. He quickly grabbed her arm. "Don't be upset. Maybe she was just young and foolish back then. But as her parents, we can't just ignore this. Sure, it's a bit unethical, but it was just a business arrangement—no real feelings involved. And do you know who the man is?"

He blinked, trying to lighten the mood. "It's Lambert Stone, the current heir of the Stone family and their future patriarch."

The moment the words left his mouth, Kendra froze in shock, her face instantly twisting into something dark and unreadable.

Earl was baffled.

He forced a weak smile, speaking cautiously, "I actually think this match is quite..." But whatever else he meant to say died under Kendra's icy glare.

The air between them turned to stone.

Two or three minutes passed, but instead of calming down, Kendra only grew more visibly disturbed.

As for Ariana...

She had never paid her any attention—or rather, she hadn't dared to.

When Yasmin (Georgia) had come to see her before, it was the first time she'd learned that Ariana of the White family was her daughter. It happened at her own birthday banquet. To everyone else, she had seemed perfectly composed, barely sparing Ariana a glance before walking away as if she were a stranger.

But no one knew how her hands had trembled at that moment.

It wasn’t until later, when she dug deeper and uncovered the truth about Ariana’s mother, that she finally confirmed the child was indeed her own flesh and blood—hers and Eliseo’s.

Kendra’s feelings toward this child were indescribably complicated. Every time she thought about it, a searing pain tore through her heart. It wasn’t just the agony of separation—it was the reminder of that tragic, ill-fated love between her and Eliseo, a past that should never have been.

The memories were too painful to bear.

So, in time, Kendra stopped dwelling on it. She refused to give herself even a moment to think about the daughter she had lost. That was, until the day she attended a banquet and saw the strikingly familiar face of the Third daughter-in-law of the Stone family—a woman who looked just like her younger self.

Only then did she realize—her daughter had been right beside her all along.

Breathing the same city air.

And worse yet, she was already married.

Then came Yasmin’s visit. After that, Kendra forced herself back into her usual routine, suppressing the desperate urge to see her daughter. She buried herself in work, day after day, hoping the relentless busyness would make her forget.

And so, to this day, aside from that one investigation into Ariana’s origins, Kendra had never spared her another thought.

Which was why she had no idea that her so-called son-in-law had once been involved with Irene.

The resemblance between Ariana and Irene flashed in her mind, followed by Earl’s earlier remark about Lambert’s lingering interest in rekindling things with Irene. Her expression darkened, frost spreading across her face like an arctic storm. The shift was so palpable that even Earl sensed something was off.

But he assumed it was because Kendra disapproved of Irene meddling in someone else’s marriage.

Not that he saw anything wrong with it.

Across from her was Georgia.

The moment Ariana stepped through the door, the servants had been dismissed—given half a day off, they were told. They understood immediately that the young mistress and Madam had matters to discuss and hurriedly excused themselves.

After the argument with Georgia, Gilbert had stopped coming home altogether.

The residence was now eerily quiet—so quiet that Georgia's expression had turned visibly strained. She cast a heavy glance at her daughter sitting across from her, brows furrowed. "What are you doing back here this time?"

Perhaps sensing something amiss, Georgia was unusually agitated, no longer bothering to maintain the facade of a doting mother. Her gaze was icy as it settled on Ariana, her eyes brimming with irritation.

Ariana lifted her eyes to meet her mother's, then curled her lips slightly. "Just wanted to talk."

Georgia scoffed. "Shouldn’t you be resting for the baby’s sake? What’s the point of running around? If you’re here to question what happened the other day, let me remind you—neither you nor Kiara ever visited. Am I not even allowed to spend time with someone I find pleasant?"

For some reason, Georgia felt uneasy today, so she struck first, her tone defensive.

Ariana didn’t argue.

Instead, she said calmly, "Irene is your daughter, isn’t she?"

Georgia froze. Her face drained of color, turning deathly pale. Then, her voice sharpened to a razor’s edge. "What nonsense are you spouting? Even if you’re upset, how dare you make such accusations?"

Ariana smiled.

She watched as Georgia’s carefully constructed composure cracked, revealing the panic beneath. The mockery in her eyes was unmistakable.
