Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 646

Georgia had a certain cunning about her, but years of isolation from social interactions and lack of professional experience—living instead in pampered comfort—had left her emotional and intellectual growth stunted for over two decades. Compared to someone like Ariana, a seasoned veteran in the ruthless world of business, she was utterly outmatched.

Her face drained of color, and panic flickered in her eyes. Though she shot Ariana a glare laced with hostility, her gaze mostly wavered, uncertain.

It was as if she couldn’t bear to meet Ariana’s eyes.

Yet, to reinforce her claim that Ariana was spouting nonsense, she forced herself to hold that stare—though her resolve was paper-thin, her confidence hollow.

Ariana understood everything in an instant.

She shut her eyes briefly, exhaling deeply, and when she opened them again, all emotion had vanished. Her voice was calm, detached. "Does my father know about this?"

Georgia bristled with indignation. "Didn’t you hear me the first time? Who’s been filling your head with these lies? You’re my only child—what nonsense are you imagining now? Out of respect for your condition, I’ll let this slide. But if you bring it up again, I won’t be so forgiving."

Ariana narrowed her eyes.

Georgia bit her lip, her expression one of wounded innocence.

With a quiet, humorless laugh, Ariana nodded. "Fine. If you say it isn’t true, then it isn’t." She rose to her feet, wincing slightly as the weight of her advanced pregnancy made movement cumbersome.

Georgia watched coldly, making no move to assist.

Not that Ariana expected her to.

She met her mother’s gaze again, her tone firm. "If you want to keep this hidden, I won’t expose you. But I suggest you cut all ties with that woman. Otherwise, I can’t predict how Father will react when he eventually finds out."

After all, this had happened before the marriage, not after.

Ariana could have helped her mother cover this up, pretending it never happened.

But that would require her mother to have some common sense and stop being manipulated by Irene into deliberately provoking her. Given her mother’s intelligence, though, that seemed impossible. So the only solution was to cut all ties between them—this was Ariana’s final act of mercy.

Otherwise, knowing her own temper, she wouldn’t just sit back and let Irene get away with it.

Of course, she wasn’t about to take this lying down either. Irene had given her so many "surprises" lately—it would be downright rude not to return the favor. Whether Irene knew they were sisters or not didn’t matter anymore.

Once this baby was born, she’d settle the score with Irene properly.

But she wouldn’t stoop to using their blood ties against her.

Ariana never denied that she could be ruthless, but she had a clear conscience—toward others and herself. That was enough.

Georgia, however, failed to grasp Ariana’s consideration. She was convinced her daughter was deliberately trying to drive a wedge between her and Irene—and now she was even threatening her. With a cold sneer, she said, "My mistake."

Ariana stayed silent, her gaze steady, unsure what was coming next.

But judging by her mother’s expression, it wouldn’t be anything pleasant.

Sure enough, Georgia’s next words were: "I never should have had you. I used to think your odd temperament was because I neglected you. But now I see it’s just who you are. Fine, since you’re so eager to know—yes, Irene is my daughter. What are you going to do? Run and tell your father?" She let out a bitter laugh. "I regret ever having such a heartless daughter."

Years of conflict had made Ariana well aware of her mother’s disdain.

She’d heard plenty of cruel words before.

At first, they hurt. Over time, she grew numb. But now—maybe it was the pregnancy heightening her emotions—hearing her mother’s blatant bias and seeing the icy fury in her eyes, Ariana felt as if a bucket of freezing water had been dumped over her, chilling her from head to toe.

It was as if she had lost something irreplaceable.

...

Ariana was heavily pregnant, now in her third trimester. Given that the Stone family was one of the most prominent conglomerates in the city, even her return to the White Family residence was under tight security.

Outside, bodyguards and drivers stood vigilant, dutifully keeping watch.

Only when they saw the young mistress safely exit the White family estate did they finally exhale in relief.

Though it was just a visit to her parents' home—nothing out of the ordinary—life was unpredictable. The young mistress had insisted they stay behind, and if anything were to happen, they’d be the ones to bear the consequences.

At the very least, their bonuses would be gone.

Heaven knew how lucrative it was to serve as her personal security—bonuses doubled with each passing month. No wonder they were on edge.

A bodyguard opened the rear car door for Ariana, who ducked inside without a word.

The driver, seated at the wheel, glanced at her through the rearview mirror and asked respectfully, "Madam, shall we return to the Stone Family residence, or...?"

"Just drive around," she replied.

The driver blinked. "Drive... around?"

Ariana nodded. "Mm. Take any route you like."

All she wanted right now was silence—no destination, no obligations. Just stillness.
