Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 667

The sight of such a young child wearing such a serious expression drew warm chuckles from the shop's staff.

The little boy seemed completely unfazed by the amused glances around him. He continued to furrow his brow in an oddly mature manner, as if deeply contemplating what flavors his other family members might prefer.

Bran observed the boy, a flicker of amusement dancing in his eyes. There was something undeniably charming about the child—perhaps it was his striking good looks—that made Bran feel an instinctive fondness.

When the cakes were finally ready, there were two big boxes in total. The boy froze, staring blankly at the stack of desserts, clearly at a loss for how to carry them all.

Bran chuckled softly. "Need a hand, kiddo?"

A boy this young wouldn’t have come alone—especially not dressed in custom-tailored clothes that spoke of wealth. Yet, for some reason, he hadn’t brought anyone inside with him.

Hauling all those cakes to the car would be a challenge.

Sure, the boy could make two trips, or call for whoever was waiting outside to help. But that seemed like too much hassle. Bran, who rarely indulged in such whims, found himself inexplicably drawn to the child and decided to play the good Samaritan.

This little boy was none other than Lucian.

Lucian blinked up at the strikingly handsome man before him. His sharp, chiseled features gave off an air of aloofness, but his eyes held none of that coldness—only a spark of playful warmth.

After a brief pause, Lucian nodded politely. "Thank you, sir."

Bran smiled. "Anytime."

So the bodyguards could only stare dumbfounded as their CEO—who never carried anything, let alone something like cake—walked out holding two cake boxes, following the little boy. Bodyguard A twitched his lips, then signaled his partner to follow.

They trailed after the young master.

Once Bran handed the cakes over to Lucian’s driver, the boy smiled sweetly and said, “Thank you, Uncle.”

Bran replied simply, “No problem.”

Lucian blinked obediently, a hint of bashfulness in his expression. “My name is Lucian Stone. I really appreciate you helping me with the cakes.”

Bran gave a curt nod. “Mm.”

With another bright smile, Lucian turned toward the back seat of the car. Just before climbing in, he glanced back at the handsome uncle still watching him and said, “I’ll be going now, then.”

Bran responded with the same indifferent, “Mm.”

Lucian: “……”

Once the boy was safely inside the car, the driver finally let out a nervous sigh. “Do you… know that man?”

Lucian shook his head. “No.” Though there was something oddly familiar about him…

Who did he resemble?

The little boy furrowed his delicate brows, lost in thought.

The driver nodded hesitantly, then, with a pained expression, ventured, “Young Master, next time you go shopping, maybe I should come in with you? If anything were to happen to you, I—I wouldn’t know what to do…”

Lucian flushed slightly in embarrassment. “Alright then.”

He simply didn't want to trouble his driver all the time, and besides, he wanted to get some exercise himself.
