She ignored Ella’s laughter, her expression hardening. She spoke to Alpha Henry in a cold, level tone, “I’m sorry, I don’t specialize in ophthalmology. Why don’t you head out to the third consultation room on the second floor? Dr. Higgs is the eye specialist.”

“Aubrey!”

Alpha Henry huffed, strode over, and swept her up into his arms. Aubrey cried out in surprise. The next second, her world spun, and she was pressed down onto the small cot inside the

room.

The cot was meant for doctors to rest on and was separated from the main room by a curtain. But the curtain wasn’t drawn. Anyone walking in would see exactly what they were doing!

“You… You bastard! Mmph…!!”

Before Aubrey could finish, Alpha Henry silenced her with a kiss. He was urgent, almost frantic. For a dizzying moment, Aubrey caught a glimpse of his eyes and swore they were glowing green.

“Aubrey… Aubrey, I’ve missed you like crazy…” he murmured against her lips.

“Henry, don’t. We still haven’t broken the…”

Aubrey’s protest was smothered again. This is a hospital! There are people waiting right outside!

But an alpha ruled by desire is not ruled by reason. He held her, his breathing growing more ragged, his voice dropping deeper and huskier.

“Let me hold you properly. Don’t resist, or I’ll make you pay,” he threatened in a low voice, greedily inhaling her scent from her neck as if he were an addict. “You know I’ve already taken the potion. I’m just waiting for it to work.”

Aubrey jolted and quickly sat up, trying to shove Alpha Henry off. But this time, he refused to let her go. He gripped her hand, a dark glint flashing in his eyes as he smiled wickedly.

“You… Let go! Someone’s here!”

“No. Not until you tell me when you’ll agree to be

my Luna.”

Aubrey gritted her teeth. “How can you do this? You’re… taking advantage of me!”

Alpha Henry just chuckled. “So what if I am? Aubrey, you are my destined Luna. You can’t run away…”

“Dr. Mary?” The knocking continued. Alpha Henry remained straddling her, whispering mischievously in her ear, his voice like a tickling feather.

“…Have you decided? Say yes, and I’ll let go.”

Aubrey opened her mouth, but she couldn’t bring herself to make that promise. She refused to believe he would actually compromise her reputation!

They were locked in a stalemate, neither giving an inch. Their bodies remained entwined- Aubrey sitting, while Henry straddled her, one foot on the floor, looming over her.

She finally turned her head away, refusing to look at him.

“Do whatever you want!”

“Still defiant…”

Alpha Henry sighed in mock exasperation. He cupped the back of her head with one hand, forcing her to look up and accept his kiss.
