Chapter 455 Sold to the Mountain Pack
Third–Person POV
Aubrey was not the planner of this incident. She had only learned from Perry that Aubrey would be attending the advanced wolf–healer exchange conference today, so she performed a divination on the event and received an answer that there would be trouble.
She wasn’t certain if Aubrey would be harmed, but she then performed a divination on Alpha Henry’s future.
She divined that Alpha Henry would be very angry and very sad within 24 hours.
She clicked her tongue. Who else besides Aubrey could make him feel that way?
So, she went to help in the kitchen and secretly added a potion to the lunch that would take effect in an hour–any werewolf who ate it would lose their wolf and their ability to fight.
She didn’t believe Aubrey was without a wolf; she guessed Aubrey must have used some method to hide her wolf. If she was right, Aubrey’s future strength would be greatly diminished. If she was wrong, there was no loss.
Aubrey was bound with her hands behind her back and shoved into the back seat of the car. Her head was covered with a black hood, and a long, dark garment was draped over her.
During the earlier chaos, someone had ambushed her. She had instinctively counter–attacked, and the person trying to grab her was subdued by her!
Seeing she was difficult to handle, the opponent decisively used smoke bombs. Two werewolves attacked simultaneously, and silver–plated bullets, like shards of broken glass, were shot into her skin. Her hands were in too much pain to use any strength.
Immediately after, thin silver–plated strips were forcefully nailed into her ankles, and she lost her ability to move.
After she was captured, the group stuffed a cloth gag into her mouth, hooded her head with black fabric, and then quickly nailed more silver–plated strips into her shoulder blades.
The silver–plated strips burned her skin and bone, making it impossible for her to fight.
Even worse, her Ella was still nowhere to be seen…
They also forced her to take a drug. The moment she tasted it, she knew it was the kind used to make werewolves fall into a deep sleep. However, her constitution was special, and the drug’s effects were delayed, so she was still relatively clear–headed. But the question was, how am I going to escape?

Just as she was thinking, the car suddenly slammed on its brakes, and she nearly fell from the
seat!
A curse came from the front.
“Damn it! How is Alpha Henry moving so fast?!”
The planned escape route was suddenly blocked. The man panicked and had to change course, only to find that barriers and checkpoints were everywhere, stopping vehicles for inspection!
He was getting frantic, constantly wiping his sweat, his hands unsteady on the steering wheel. He hadn’t kidnapped Alpha Henry’s mother, just an adopted Omega sister, so why was the search so strict? And what happened to the backup team? Why hadn’t they come to meet him?!
In his haste, he could only turn the car onto a small path. But the path was steep, and he was panicking. He carelessly crashed into a small truck! To make matters worse, after the collision, his car’s wheel got stuck in a pothole. He slammed the accelerator a few times but couldn’t get free. It was stuck!
He slammed the steering wheel hard and cursed, “Fuck!”
Then he grabbed his gun and
got out!
There were two people in the truck. They saw him approaching, but before they could speak, the large–bearded man shot them both dead.
After that, the bearded werewolf moved the (pretending to be unconscious) Aubrey into that truck. He then waited by the roadside for a moment, grabbed an Omega werewolf, and forced him to push his previous car out and drive it away before he continued on.
With that person drawing the attention of Alpha Henry’s team, his own chances of escape increased significantly.
Soon, the bearded werewolf rendezvoused with his contact.
He asked, “What’s next? Are we taking her to the Capital?”
The contact shook his head and said, “Orders from above. She’s to be sold to the Mountain Pack.”
