Five hours later, the heavy operating room doors slowly swung open.

Sean removed his surgical mask as a relieved smile finally spread across his weary face. He approached the donor's family, a humble middle-aged couple anxiously wringing their hands.

"The surgery went very well."

The couple finally relaxed in relief. Overwhelmed, they stammered their gratitude as their eyes glistened with tears.

Sean patiently continued, "Donating bone marrow takes a significant toll on the body, so make sure he gets proper rest and care afterward.

"I've arranged housing and caregivers here in Jynston. You can stay as long as you need, and I'll cover all the expenses.

"I've also made arrangements for your younger son's school. He can start next week."

At that, the couple nearly broke down in tears and couldn't stop thanking him. "You're our family's savior, Dr. Frost!"

Sean offered a warm smile. "No need to thank me. This is my duty."

"How do you feel?" he whispered in a hushed voice, as if afraid of startling her.

Cecilia could feel a long-absent vitality stirring within her body. She offered him a reassuring smile and replied in a still-hoarse voice, "I'm fine. Don't worry."

She turned her head slightly and pressed her cheek gently against the back of his hand. "Sean, I want to do something serious with my life once I'm discharged. Since I studied fashion design in college, I want to pick it back up."
