Once he had heard the answer he had been desperately waiting for, he relaxed. He then turned and left without hesitation.

As soon as he stepped out of Daniel's office, he strode quickly toward the emergency room. But just as he rounded a corner, he bumped into several people peeking around nervously.

They were employees of Mosaic Studio, their faces filled with panic and unease.

When they saw him, it was as if they were looking at both a savior and a grim reaper. Their expressions were complicated, to say the least.

Sean stopped in his tracks, his gaze cold and sharp, sweeping over them like a blade. "What exactly happened?" he asked.

Under that stare, all the employees shivered. None of them dared to speak first. After all, how could they admit that Cecilia had fainted because of their gossip and mockery?

And the man standing before them wasn't just any doctor. He was the second heir of the Frosts and Cecilia's boyfriend.

If he discovered the truth, none of them would survive the fallout. Terrified, their instinctive reaction was to push the blame elsewhere.

A quick-thinking young assistant stammered out the beginning of an explanation. "D-Dr. Frost… we don't really know what happened. It's just—"

"I heard that Annie from EVL stole her project again. It's the big one for Maeve. Right after the call, Ms. Lambert turned pale. She didn't say a single word, and then she just collapsed!"

The story, as recounted, contained a grain of truth but was heavily embellished.

They carefully erased their own involvement and shifted all the responsibility onto Annie, as if Cecilia's collapse were entirely her fault.
